There is more to life than sex.

Let me repeat. There is more to life than sex.

There are hugs and smiles and horses and rainstorms and flowers and summer breezes and books and music and sunrises on the Eastfold and stars in the sky and laughter and tears and kittens and puppies and stories to hear and clothes to wear and a thousand different foods and...life to be lived with your clothes on.

What is so special about sex? Why does it get so much more attention than any of these other things? And why must people post so much about it? Go have sex, or pleasure yourself if you must. But talking about it constantly makes people sound desperate! It is just another thing that we can do with our bodies. But hugs are beautiful, too. Braiding someone's hair. Running. Swimming. Riding horses. All these things are wonderful too.

I just don't understand why every other thing I read is about sex.

I mean...shouldn't we be more concerned about the fact that this island has no leader, no one to turn to, no emergency services...than we are about who's sleeping with whom?

I think Éomer should lead here.

Are you really that fucking stupid? I didn't lose my man I lost my partner. My Love. I didn't stand behind him, I stood beside him. And he stood beside me. He didn't tell me what I could and couldn't do. Or what I needed or didn't need to do. He didn't lead me. Just because you need a leash doesn't mean I do.

And Daryl could have been Darleen, it would have been the same.

You make any grand decisions in your kingdom? I mean besides what color the drapes should be? And whether you should comb your hair on the left or the right side?

I have plenty of worth without Daryl. I still function, I still do everything I did before he died, without him. Your Kingiepooh wasn't dead, he just wasn't here, and apparently you needed someone else to tie your shoes for you.

And as far as needing anyone for an orgasm? I can give myself one in a minute and a half. It's just more enjoyable when I can hear, smell and see someone else getting off.

Grand decisions? Of course not. I have only lived in Rohan for eight months, Éomer has lived there his entire life. But we speak, and discuss things. He listens to my opinions, and so I do influence policy, I like to think.

Do not speak badly of him.

You think or you know? I've lived here eight months and that doesn't stop me from doing. And pregnant for the first four. I didn't need anybody leading me by the hand to do anything. Though I might have had to have someone threaten to tie me down the last week or so of my pregnancy to stop me from doing what needed to be done.

Honey, I don't speak bad of him. You do with your prudish hypocrisy. If I had been with Eomer everybody would know what a god he was between the sheets. Because I have no doubt that he is. It's you that's the cold dead fish.

I don't whine, and I sure as fuck am not alone. And while you do the only thing you're good for, I'll be off hunting something three times my size for dinner. Have fun in your uselessness.

If you hadn't stopped her too I would have told you no, and where to shove your ordering me around. But since you did, I'll stop.

But you better keep your eye on her. I don't take kindly to little girls judging me when they have no place to. When she's cleaned, and buried everyone she holds dear, and then some on this island, then she can come tell me how I should and shouldn't handle it.
