Pancake Day yesssssss

Is it acceptable to go round everywhere here that makes food and get pancakes in each one? I feel like it is, you know. I reckon that's an aces plan.

I've already been running today so this ain't gonna be a problem at all.

Me? Nah. It's the day before Lent, innit? I remember this from school. So you have to give up stuff for Lent like chocolate or cigs or whatever, until it's Easter. And the day before is when you're meant to have a big feast before you have to fast. Some places have Mardi Gras, right? And in England and probably other places too, I ain't been anywhere else on Pancake Day to know, the feast is with pancakes. Cause it's got butter and sugar and you might put chocolate on your pancakes or syrup or honey or whatever, but they're all the sweet things you're probably gonna give up for the next 40 days.

Unless you're Irish, apparently you get Paddy's Day off from Lent. Dunno how true that is but I knew a guy from Dublin and he always gave up beer for Lent, except for on Paddy's Day.

Yes, Mardi Gras I have heard of. So this is like the English equivalent? We do have a Mardi Gras carnival in Paris, and eat waffles or fried food. Pancakes seemed so very specific I did not make the connection. But any excuse for a pancake crawl.

What is Paddy's Day?

I reckon so. In my time, at least, yeah. Are you gonna come with me?

Yes, but only because I am such a pancake fan, you know? I will tolerate you for the cause.

Yeah, yeah, I get you. Just using me to get to the good stuff, I see how it is.

We're discussing pancakes, Kat. How in the fuck is that "cute"?

Pancakes are cute and you two sweeten them up even more.
