Me? Nah. It's the day before Lent, innit? I remember this from school. So you have to give up stuff for Lent like chocolate or cigs or whatever, until it's Easter. And the day before is when you're meant to have a big feast before you have to fast. Some places have Mardi Gras, right? And in England and probably other places too, I ain't been anywhere else on Pancake Day to know, the feast is with pancakes. Cause it's got butter and sugar and you might put chocolate on your pancakes or syrup or honey or whatever, but they're all the sweet things you're probably gonna give up for the next 40 days.
Unless you're Irish, apparently you get Paddy's Day off from Lent. Dunno how true that is but I knew a guy from Dublin and he always gave up beer for Lent, except for on Paddy's Day.
