So, space, huh? That's cool, something new for me. Y'all gonna have to forgive me, I'm still new to these parts, still figuring some things out. You know how it is. Seem to come at a bad time too, I've been sensing lots of pain and loss since I got here. Hope y'all are okay and know I'm not about to go digging around in your heads outta respect.

I noticed this place ain't all computers and science and tech though. Feels like magic and other stuff. More my kinda stuff. Can somebody explain some of that to me? Or at least tell me what's going on with Wheel 5 and if it would smart to try to communicate with any lingering spirits? Thank you.

	Was your government accepting of your abilities? Sorry, for all the questions. I grew up in a world where as a kid, we weren't accepted. We were hunted down. It changed later but changing policies is one thing, changing the mind of people is another. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Only as far as they could use them, I think. They were mostly worried about the threat I coulda posed. There were other people who had powers too, if they were 'dangerous' enough they were 'recruited', the rest got to live their lives however they wanted.

It's fine. As for acceptance, I guess having powers was uncommon enough that we didn't worry too much about it. Never claimed I didn't have them though, most people just didn't believe me.

	I understand why a government might act like that. I understand the fear of the unknown and uncontrollable but I am still angry about it. Some people just consider us to be tools and weapons. What did they make you do? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Yeah, but they do it through threats and worse things, nobody's got clean hands. Scout was my designation. Mostly I was sent out with a recruiter to look for people with powers. But I did some other things too. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

No. Some in my world were nice. They wanted good. But even those efforts got derailed and stopped. Even the once who believed that we should all live peacefully together gave up. They were not the ones suffering. We were.

I was a spokesperson for the government. Back then I believed in it. I believed that my words mattered. But now, it's like I kept the charade going. Did you feel bad about it? Looking for others like you? I wished I hadn't been their puppet.

	I was intentionally very bad at my job, I tried to scare most off or lied about not being able to sense anyone. Didn't work every time but I tried. Mostly I was upset about being trapped. They had leverage, I couldn't run. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	You were really young, not your fault. Only all the time, they still had leverage though. Then I met my ex and things changed. I think they were using another telepath to keep an eye on me as they always seemed to know when I was about ready to do something. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
