I have consulted the calendars and I have discovered that tomorrow is Palm Sunday. I realise that Mr Hume is no longer present, and that I am no clergyman. Still, I should like to mark the occasion, and so I will be making use of his multi-faith prayer room, if anyone wishes to join me over Easter week.

Palm Sunday (14th April) - 11am prayer and eucharist.

Maundy Thursday (18th April) - 11am prayer and chrism mass. I do not have holy oil, of course, but I will see what essential oils I can find, and provide water basins.

Good Friday (19th April) - 9am - meditation on Seven Last Words from the Cross / 4pm - evening prayer.

Holy Saturday (20th April) - 9am prayer / 4pm prayer.

Easter Sunday (21st April) - 5am dawn prayer / 11am eucharist / 6pm compline.

Thereafter, I shall recommence Sunday morning and Wednesday evening prayers. Even if you are not Christian, Mr Hume was very specific that this was a place for people of all faiths or no faith, so please do use it whenever and however you please. This is simply to let you know when there will be someone else there if you wish to pray or read together.

Thank you.

Have you had any strange experiences yourself? Lately, I mean.

I do not have a preference, whatever it pleases you to cook I shall be more than happy to receive. You can tell Robin that I have just about mastered the grilled cheese he was explaining to me.

The difference must be even more marked for a woman, I think.

Oh, Robin was twelve for a day and a half, and I woke up the other night to Guy screaming for me, but I've been here long enough to know to check phone before freaking out.

I might borrow the ovens of the unoccupied apartments close by and do pork, poultry and beef, and quit possibly fish halfway around the corridor, and we can all have sandwiches for a week or so. Haha he says now you have to learn soup.

Oh yes. I was never one to keep my tongue, but it is nice not to get in trouble for it.

Oh, that is a point that one reaches eventually, is it?

Good grief, you spoil us. Soup? Sounds challenging. Is this heating up a tin, or from scratch?

Are you happy here, Marian?

Yes, and perhaps throwing bed pillows to make them go away.

Yes, I'd say you could invite anyone you saw fit, and we'd still have plenty. It's heating up a tin, or Mommy's premade soups, he says. But I'm sure you got plenty of practice in that, aren't you?

Mostly yes. There are thing that I greatly miss, but I try not to let that weigh me down, or the good things here down either. I would ask you the same, but I think I know the answer to that question.

Well, perhaps we can extend to invitation to anyone who shows up to the morning prayer. I do! Your instructions were very clear, and I only burnt the bottom of one saucepan during the learning process.

Good, I'm glad for you.

That sounds like a pleasant idea, perhaps we set up a couple tables in the corridor between our apartments?

We all burn the bottom of a sauce pan ever now and then. I know I burned a few before I got used to the modern stove. And I still burn the first pancake.

I wish you were my friend. Or there was something I could do.

Yes, that sounds most agreeable.

You are too kind and generous with me.

Am I not your friend?

It would make for plenty of room.

It's easy Darcy. You were kind to me shortly after I woke up. And my son adores you.

This is where the lack of punctuation gets me in trouble. I meant I wish you were happy too. I've been calling you my friend since December.

Certainly. And easy access to our apartments if we require extra plates and so on.

You can tell Robin that I adore him too.

I see. I consider you my friend, too, of course. There is nothing that anyone can do. There is only one thing that would make me happy, and it is apparently impossible. Other than that? Just time, I think.

That is a good point. It would be good if we ran out of tea too.

That put a very large smile on his face.

Well, there is something we can do, we can be there when you need us. And I will be, gladly. Well, not glad that you need me for that reason, but to help you shoulder the weight of it. And I will be here when it is but a feather's weight too.

Yes, certainly. I think I can borrow an urn from the food court so that we do not need to keep reboiling water.

I am pleased to hear it.

Thank you. You have persevered with me even when all I wanted was to hide from every sort of human contact. I know that you wished to care for me even when I refused to open the door. Your persistence is appreciated, even if it must not have seemed so in the early days.

Fantastic. And if it's just you, Robin and me, and possibly EdwMr Rochester, and Adele that should leave more than enough tea for the lot of us.

I am glad the pair of you are friends. It is good for him to have such role models in his life.

Ah, but you are just highly tolerant of my stubborn, and nurturing nature. How could I be anything but persistent?
