Any patients of Dr. Morgan can contact me, if you'd like me to continue your medical care. I know switching doctors, especially under these circumstances, is difficult. I will only look at his patient files with your permission.

I also invite anyone to visit me for check-ups and to ensure that your medical information is up to date.

I'm expecting any day now? He was doing my scans.

Congratulations. That's great. Would you mind coming in for another scan? Did he give you the tdap vaccine?

Thanks! I, uh... Kind of fail at coming to medbay? I have panic attacks before I even get halfway there. Dr. Morgan was coming do our apartment.

And yeah I'm absolutely up to date on all my vaccines. But I was before I got here, I was a school teacher back in my real world, and we had to have tdap.

That's alright. I can do a home visit at your apartment. Do you have a birth plan? Are you planning on a home birth?

That's great.

I am planning on a home birth, but besides that I don't have much of a plan. Push when he gets here? That's all I got.

Yeah I'm not on the anti-vaxx train. I'm good with my kid not having polio or the measles.

There are other things to consider - Who do you want present? Do you want medication? If so, what type of medication? Do you want alternative measures for pain management? Do you plan on a water birth, a bed, to move around? How will you monitor the baby? What is your plan in the event of an emergency?

Whoever wants to be there? As long as they aren't in the way. Medication is something we can play by ear, because I know sometimes you just have to go without. I don't see a water birth, women that do that... more power to them. He's a force user? If there's a problem I think Kylo or me will know asap. And if there's an emergency then the plan is get him out by any means necessary.

I strongly recommend thinking about medication in advance, especially if there's a possibility you'd want an epidural.

Will you let the medbay know when you're go into labour?

I'll trust your judgement. You're the doctor, not me.

If not me, I'm sure someone will.

You can poke at my wrist if you like. I mean, I seem to be forever smacking it off of things right now so it's not like you're going to do any more damage to it than I've already done. And I've only got one week left in the splint anyway.

I'd like to do X-rays and CT to check on the healing. How long have you had the splint?

Hello, Dr Cuddy.

I do not know how much you know about my situation, but you are welcome to look at Dr Morgan’s notes. I arrived on this station without the use of my sight, and my left hand was amputated some time ago.

Just over a fortnight ago, Dr Morgan completed an operation to provide me with as prosthetic eye that has been very successful, and I can now happily refer to myself as partially sighted rather than completely blind.

At that time, he also operated on the left arm to tidy up the rather uncivilised job of the surgeons of my own era. This was with the intention of working with a prosthetic hand, provided by Dr O’Hara, once it had healed correctly. I was supposed to return for Dr Morgan to see how the arm had healed on Monday just past, but as you know, he was no longer here.

I apologise if I am simply repeating facts you already knew about, but I felt the clearer the information the better for you.

Hello.

No need to apologize.  You'e right.  It's best to know as much as I can about your condition and treatments.

How have you been feeling since the operations?

I would like you to come in for a follow up.  I may have many questions for you as well once I've reviewed your file.

Is it alright if I contact Dr. O’Hara and ask him about the prosthetic hand?

-Dr. Cuddy.

Dr Cuddy,

I have been well. Although the arm was quite tender immediately following the operation, any discomfort has since passed. As for my sight, it is taking more getting used to. I could see nothing but light and shadow for approximately six months prior to the operation. Now everything is clear on the left only, and it is taking some effort to get used to performing tasks. I'm not sure if it is depth perception, or what you might call it. It is getting better all the time, but I do get headaches. I'm not sure if that is adjusting to bright lights (electricity is also new to me) or squinting or both.

When would you like to see me?

Yes, it is perfectly fine to discuss any of this with Dr O'Hara.

Mr. Rochester.

The headaches are most likely straining from adjusting to the light and the accompanying squinting. Even people used to electricity, can get headaches from staring at their phones or other screens for too long. Give yourself breaks if you do use your phone often and use soft lighting in your apartment. Are there any accompanying symptoms? Blurred or double vision?

How's tomorrow morning at nine?

Thank you. I'll get in touch with him.

Dr. Cuddy.

Dr Cuddy,

Thank you, that is quite reassuring. I shall see if I can dim the lighting about the apartment at least. No other symptoms that I can think of.

That would be perfect, I shall see you then.

Hi Dr. Cuddy. I haven't done any Nursing studies since we switched over to the station, but since you are without Ashley and Steven, I could come back to it, if you need me?

That would be a big help. We can arrange the schedule so it doesn't take up too much of your spare time.

I don't do anything with my spare time, so take up as much of it as you need. I do help Lacy out at the diner, though so I will need a work around with that.

And Doctor House did make sure I knew how to draw blood, and stitch minor wounds if that helps?

Nothing? At your age, you should be having fun. Getting old can sneak up on you. We can definitely work around your schedule.

It does. You couldn't have had a better teacher, as long as he didn't teach you bedside manner.

My world got turned upside down when we went against the Man. Everything that occupied my time is gone. I'm only just now getting my footing back. I'm sure I'll find something fun in time, but I'd rather do something that means something meanwhile. Helping people means something.

That's something he couldn't drum into me. I'm from Georgia, southern hospitality flows through my veins.

Hello. I’m Mark, I was helping Dr Morgan with his filing and admin and that sort of thing. I can help with transferring patient files, collating any duplicates and so on, if it would be helpful.
