With the help of Mr Hemingway the younger, I was able to catch enough sand bass and crappie (pronounced cropy) to have a good old fashioned Southern fish fry. There will be home fries and collard greens and biscuits and sweet tea and lemonade to go along with it.

Starting Friday around noon.

In the snow? All my fish fries were done outside in a big pot of oil.

I've taken the snow into account.

Just don't magic the magic snow. It seems like a bad idea that could go very wrong. Because it's cold know, cold snow in a climate controlled space means someone wants it there.

Hope you watched a few "frying a turkey gone wrong" videos, because third degree burns suck. And I know you, impressing a man and common sense don't often reside in the same room, one of them is about ten miles farther down the road than it should be.

Okay, because fish fry in a winter setting in a tin , where the majority of the population live, doesn't say you do.

My problem? You seem to have an extreme laps in judgement over the past year. My problem is if you do a fish fry outside, where there's snow where there's likely to be ice, some could fall in your fryer and create a explosive event. In a container of oxygen. You know what happens when things explode around oxygen? I shouldn't have to tell you.

I'm very glad you think I'm that stupid. It's nice to know where I stand with you. I have explained my plan to Mr Rochester. I'm not a fucking moron. And I'm also glad to know that giant bonfires in the park don't concern you as much as a possible accident with a fryer.

I genuinely hope that this has helped you feel better in some way.

I figured a 2000 year old vampire would know what to do to keep everybody from blowing up. Better than a 40something genie that still doesn't have a lock on her own powers.

The thing of it is, you know I was obviously worried about this, and you had no problem telling a man you barely know and all I got was "I've got it under control". Should I remind you of a few choices you've made in the past year that make that phrase impossible to ease any worries that I had in my mind?

You know what? Never mind. You can say what you want. I'm going to choose to believe that this is because of everything that you have had to deal with lately and leave it at that. I do actually know what I am doing whether or not you believe it. I'm sorry that you've lost confidence in my ability.

My problem has nothing to do with what's happened to me lately. It's you're lack of caring about anything other the next man you're going to snag. You know what clings to people the most? the smell of sex. The smell of sex and cigars. You are aware that Abi is back right? You were there when they were together, you were there and couldn't miss the fact that they were good together. How am I supposed to have respect for you when you obviously don't have any for yourself? You're going to be that girl, that man stealing disgusting slag. I don't care if you're a slut, hell I'm a slut, I was married to four people and could barely stay sated, but at this point I'd kick your ass out of the slut club because you're no different from Parnel, except you don't prey on little kids.

This has nothing to do with trying to "snag a man" and everything to do with having 40lbs of fish to cook up.

As for the rest of it? I'm really not sure how any of this is your fucking business. Ernest is a grown man that has told me no on occasion and I have respected that. Abi doesn't remember any of their relationship and if she did, I would get out of the way. Since the people that are actually involved in all of this have no problem with it, I'm really not sure why you do. But I am not going to justify my actions to someone who hasn't actually been involved in my life in a very long time.

Are you fucking serious?? Ernest Hemingway killed himself with a shotgun in the mouth where I'm from, how did he do it where you're from? I don't want that to happen here because he has a second chance at happiness. It doesn't matter what she remembers, it matters about him. HIS happiness and well being. I know you're not concerned with that because you jumped right from Dean Winchester and trying to force him down the aisle to Hemingway. Because that screams like it's a good idea.

If you don't cool it and back the fuck off, I'll sew up your twat since that's all you can think about and have Loki take your powers away.

I can testify to that.

Well, the burns, at least. I know very little about impressing men.

Why are we burning things?

It's not actually burning. It's frying. Heat up oil and put the fish in it after it's breaded. I use a butter flavored lard that makes the fish taste better.

In the food court. I'm cooking the fish in my kitchen and I have cleared out some of the snow and set up a tent over some of the seating area.

I'm not really sure what is going on with Maryanne right now but I wanted to assure you of a few things.

I have been deep frying food since I was old enough to reach the top of the stove so I know what safety precautions to take. Sand bass and crappie do not actually stink up the place unless they are left out to rot.

I am in no way doing this to try to impress a man. I'm doing this because my friend and I caught quite a lot of fish through the door and I didn't see a point in just putting it in the freezer.

I would have no problem bringing food to you if you wish to remain in your apartment bit still want to try it. I completely understand.

Thank you for the reassurance. I am not in any way concerned about a smell, or what anyone wishes to do to attract a man or not. But I am quite nervous when I hear anyone talk of burns or explosions and so on.

I do not know where the food court is, and I struggle to navigate this place without assistance. It is no matter, and you do not need to bring me anything.

She's being a bit overdramatic and I'm not sure why. I do plan on taking every necessary safety precaution when cooking in my own kitchen.

I really wouldn't mind bringing it to you if you would like. I see it as my job to make sure everyone is at least fed.

So can I, my father dumped one of those big pots of oil on my backside when I was ten. Because it was funny.

And you are a man Mr. Rochester you know what would impress at least one.

Deep Frying anything under the wrong conditions can be dangerous, not only to the person doing the frying, but for a few people around them.

Strange sense of humour. Did he hate you?

Well, you've got me there. But I must admit, frying fish wouldn't do it for me. Otherwise I should have fallen for every common pub landlady from Leeds to London.

Then I shall stay as far away from this 'food court' as possible.

Yes he did. It was my fault we were poor, apparently. You see I am a twin, and I hid behind my brother on the ultrasound on purpose. An ultrasound is a picture made by sound or vibrations, generally used on a pregnant woman to allow her to see the baby inside. But, it wasn't because he was poor before, or the fact that he was an abusive drunk, it was entirely my fault. Or that was his excuse for beating the shit out of me from the age of four.

And I imagine more little Rochesters would be running around. But keep it a secret because it would be wasted on me, I'm a married woman and my eyes don't wander beyond my husband's or wife's tush.

If she's doing it indoors all you risk is smelling like fish. But that smell will also cling to the indoors for weeks.

[OOC: I was sure I replied to this, but it disappeared?]

Ah, of course. That makes perfect sense. Unborn children always have an agenda. What has become of your father now? He is not here, I hope?

Yes indeed, many little darlings to empty my pockets. I shall keep it secret, then - what is a man without a few secrets, anyway.

Thank you for the clarification. Is not everywhere indoors here? Anyway, no matter, I shall sleep easier knowing we are not about to burn.

[OoC:Weird! I got the first notif for it, though it was spamed.]

In my world, in my time, he's dead. My brother had to kill him, when he came after me with a shotgun. But if he ever shows up, he'll get to see what his abuse and neglect brought up. For five seconds.

Yeah but you'd have happy empty pockets I think. At least save them for someone who's head you can turn.

The powers that be have marked what they think is outside with snow. But it's cold now, which you might have been unlucky enough to find out with a miss step.

That sounds lovely, like fish and chips.

Were sand bass and crappie on the list of fish with high mercury?
Mark will know.
