As someone who has lived through both world wars as I believe a few of us have, while I appreciate the desire to celebrate life, I'm asking that we observe the two minute silence at 11am on November 11th, as we would in the UK, to remember the fallen.

Anyone who would like a poppy, I am happy to provide.

	That's fine, between 1914 and 1918 there was a great war, it overtook huge amounts of Europe and killed millions. The date a ceasefire was called is now used to remember all who fell or still serve. The poppy grew on the fields where the men died in the great war (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
