As someone who has lived through both world wars as I believe a few of us have, while I appreciate the desire to celebrate life, I'm asking that we observe the two minute silence at 11am on November 11th, as we would in the UK, to remember the fallen.

Anyone who would like a poppy, I am happy to provide.

I'd take a poppy.

Actually, make it four.

That's less important, this is about remembrance.

A poppy would be lovely, thank you.

I was actually an army medic in both wars.

My friend Matthew was too. I was a nurse through both, though my powers are much less suited to it

It was a very strange thing, seeing both wars. I feel as though the death toll in the first was greater simply due to a lack of medical technology.

Young men like cattle, Dr Morgan. It is amazing how little the human race learns. I'm glad I am no longer one of them.

An excellent idea. We observe the same silence in Canada.

Do you mean the kind of poppy that one pins onto their jacket? I would like one of those.

2143 - 2149. There were other wars before that, like the Pan-Asian wars in the 2070s, and Africa tore itself apart at the turn of the century and that took decades to start to settle down, but yeah. Three of them.
