HUMBUGBEE

Hi, I'm Natalia and I bring you Rita Skeeter. She's a seventh year Slytherin and, as you probably know, she'll do anything for a good story.
Plus, this is Rita's last year at school, and she wants something big to help her pursue her dream of becoming a well-known journalist.

She's a Pureblood, but doesn't give much importance to it, as the only thing that matters to her is gossip. Some of her classmates don't take her too seriously, but those who are more careful (or have suffered her blackmailing) know she can be quite dangerous sometimes. Of course, there are some secrets she can't keep to herself, but she knows which ones can be useful later.

You can say she doesn't have many friends, but it's not like she cares. She has good sources and that's more important anyway (Although she sometimes feels a little alone she'd never admit it). Rita's had many boyfriends in the past, but none of them lasted longer than three weeks. Basically because she was only using most of them and she thinks she can be perfectly well all alone. (Oh, by the way, she's bisexual).

Rita is pretty much open for anything. Friends, enemies, love interests and backstories of any kind. My aim is nataixoco and my email (Which I check more than I should) is npr1994@hotmail.com, if you're interested in discussing plot and stuff.

Set Phasers to "Introduction"

Good evening, Ladies and gentlemen!

(Admittedly, it's not really evening for me anymore, and it's probably not evening for any of you, either. However, I don't really care.)

My name is Anna ([info]texmas), and I am a 20-year-old junior at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL, majoring in Classics and Art History. However, in September, I will not be returning to Chicago. Instead, I will be going to Catania, Sicily. Because I'm a playa, and I got it like that.
My interests include Latin, Doctor Who, pretentious indie music, abnormal psychology, Spanish baroque art, Leonard Nimoy (and Star Trek), literary devices, English Regency Novels, witticisms, Kurt Vonnegut, J.D. Salinger, Oscar Wilde, Jorge Luis Borges, William Faulkner, Salman Rushdie, James Joyce, and I need to stop listing authors because I will do this all day and then where will we be?

I bring you, Severus Snape ([info]sang_mele). He also has interests, but likely does not care for you to know them. Since it's not up to him, I will inform you that these interest include (but are not limited to) potions, the creation of new spells, the dark arts, academia, elitism and forms of magic that value artistry, subtlety and attention to detail. He does not like people with a sense of entitlement, or most Gryffindors, and he does not suffer fools gladly.

He does, however, like Lily. To an extent that is truly mad.

Plot?

Since he's being featured in James Potter's Magical Meme I though I would introduce Julius Wilkes to everyone.

Julius is a fifth year Slytherin, from a rather diminished pureblood family. He's not particularly bright nor is he athletic or physically intimidating. Julius actually seems quite a lot nicer than some Slytherins - very open, friendly, willing to help out. That's because Julius relies on favours. He works hard to gain the trust of other students, to learn their secrets and then use those against them. He doesn't like the term blackmail though, he prefers to think of what he's doing as swapping favours and he refers to those whom he treats in this way as friends.

He's also not against being a slimy little suck up to teachers, especially ones with quite obvious failings to be exploited like Professor Slughorn.

Julius needs quite a few enemies, his 'friends' and I'd be very interested in playing a plotline about an upcoming Potions test (or another class) that Julius hasn't studied for and instead tries to pressure another student into stealing the answers for him.

Bellatrix Black

So... I think you all know Bella's temper. She's kind of a bitch, racist with the ones that aren't pure-blood, extremely loyal to the stuff she brings herself to care - although it's really hard for her to care about something.
And... I don't know, I guess it sums it up. lol She isn't far from canon, just a little bit less crazy. :D

I'm interested in enemies, relationships with insults and sexual tension, social relationships, love/hate relationships and heck, friendships are okay too. LOL And she's bisexual, I find it relevant to say.

My AIM is pensevermelho, and I'll be glad to talk about plotlines or just random stuff if you're interested :D

ETA: Bella's in The Slug Club, Knights of Walpurgis, she's a Prefect, and also is involved with, Quidditch (as Chaser).

[info]feral_growl

Hey all! My name is Kaye, and I bring Fenrir Greyback to the game.

Fenrir is a wizard, but he only got to attend Hogwarts for two years before he was kicked out when he was bitten at thirteen years old. He is now 45 years old-- Or, actually, he says he's 32, because he thinks he was reborn when he was bitten. Yeah, he's a little insane. He was the one that big Remus, as we all know (and secretly love him for. You know you do!), and he has not forgotten that fact. He just expected that Remus would have grown up neglected, alone, unhappy, bitter... you know, all the mixing to be a perfect little mini-Greyback.

So, he's gonna be disappointed. Which is going to be fun, because he doesn't take disappointment well. He's acquaintances/friends with MacNair, surprise, surprise! And I would love any other plot that any of you want to throw at me.

I'm up to chatting, plot, anything on aim at JabberwockyHakke, but I can also be found at my email (which I check religiously, I swear) over at jabberwocky_ks@yahoo.com.

Molly

And here's my last one (unless I get tempted by an adult). It's Molly Prewett, older sister to Gideon and Fabian. She's a seventh year Gryffindor, the captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team, and one of the cornerstones of the House. She's got a temper and a mean right hook, but she's also prone to nurturing. Molly is determined to have great adventures and make something of her life. She's very active, has a bit of a mouth on her, and is always up for a good time.

She's got a natural antagonism toward Narcissa Black and any of her ilk, and she despises Lucius Malfoy despite thinking he's the hottest guy she's ever seen. (Maybe because of it.) I see her as close friends with Arthur, but since he's not in play, I won't be mentioning him much--I don't want to step on any toes should someone want to pick him up. I'm open to any other friends!

As before, my e-mail is editmethis@gmail.com.

[info]thefutureauror

Frank

Here is Frank Longbottom. He's a sixth year Ravenclaw and somehow manages to live up to every stereotype there is. He's very nearly in more classes than is possible, is in almost every academic club, and is a by-word for responsible, level-headed and gifted. He'll be starting a club for future Aurors, and it's clear that he's going to be one hell of an Auror when he graduates.

He's also infamous for his mother's Howlers, which are constant and incredibly unfair. Augusta pushes Frank to be the very best at everything and it's a wonder that he hasn't snapped. He's a genuinely good person, though, and tends to see the best in people. He's friendly but quiet and can easily empathize with Slytherin children being pushed by their parents. (Boy does he ever empathize.)

Finally, he's undergone something of a physical transformation over the summer. Frank was always a little short and chubby. He hit a major growth spurt over the summer, though, and is suddenly well over 6 feet and increasingly strapping. He finds this awkward and is really embarrassed by the attention it earns him.

Friends? Plots? He doesn't have enemies, per say, though there's no guarantee he won't earn some in-game!

[info]fleurnoire

So, it makes me sad to say but I'm already taking a hiatus! D: sucks, I know, as the game just oppened but I'll be in Florda until the fifteenth. AIM will likely always be up, as I use a Blackberry, but I won't be posting at all because that's just a tad trickier and rough on my thumbs! Anyways, love you all and don't have too much fun without me!

[info]georgiebea

Hey everyone! I'm April and this Georgia Tepper. Georgia is a 7th year Ravenclaw, who mans the book club and detests fighting. She is exceptionally sweet, and is nice to absolutely everyone. She can be a bit selfish at times, but if she is friendly with you she is very generous. Her poppa is a muggle so she, as a rule, avoids Slytherins. She doesn't know how to duel and doesn't want to learn.

Georiga likes to be called Georgie or Bea, but she'll suffer through anything that isn't derogatory. She is incredibly sensitive, but very good at hiding it and she is incredibly insecure. It is unlikely that anyone outside of Ravenclaw knows how much she sulks as a result of misplaced words. Though, she is easy to excite and will help anyone out anything. She is codependent and has to help people, especially the ones who don't want it.

Georgia is extremely curious and loves gossip. She can be rather tight lipped about things, so she is a good confidant but she sometimes can be a bit annoying when trying to pry information out. She explores places she ought not and has found the room of requirement, but she thinks it's a bathroom because that was what she needed at the moment. She is also very secretive, so no one is prying secrets out of her!

[Edit]: Georgia also knows sign language! Not that it will make a difference, but it totally did once!

Anyway, I am up for anything. Enemies, Friends, Ex Boyfriends, Love interests, Fellow book club members. My email is aprilynnd@gmail.com, my aim is aprilxlily, my CDJ is [info]bananalily and my personal journal is [info]ouvert. Or you can just comment here! I'm really excited to get playing!

[info]inthenightsky

Orion Black is the father of Sirius and Regulus Black, the uncle of Narcissa, Bellatrix and Andromeda, as well as slightly more distantly related to the Prewett tribe. He's a tired man, although not all that old by wizarding standards, and it's likely that his dedication to the family and to his duty that have drained so much life out of him.

He wasn't always like that, of course. In his youth he was an arrogant boy, a young man who was popular and self-proclaimed leader of his peers, and after school he was still an important mover-and-shaker, despite his, er, personal agenda. But that was soon discarded as duty took over, and he married Walburga Black, his cousin, sister to Cygnus, his closest confidant. She is an amazing woman, he reports, strong and determined and more intelligent than any wizard he has ever met, and he loves her dearly. The pair's first-born, Sirius Black, was the personification of not only Orion's duty, but his love for Walburga, and they spoilt the boy rotten.

For those first few years, including the birth of Regulus, the little family was happy, more so than he can believe, looking back on it now. Now, of course, the family is crumbling. Sirius' moods rival only his mothers, his thoughtlessness splitting not only the family, but now causing arguments between the usually soft-spoken and peaceful Orion, and his wife, who can not stand to have the family slighted or damaged.

Orion is desperately pretending there is no problems, that Sirius is only a wilful teen, than he means only to annoy them. Walburga does not see it that way, in fact, she is certain that it was the favouritism Orion showed towards Sirius that has twisted the boy and made him into this devil-child. She blames him too for her brother Alphard, a more long-standing disappointment. Even so, Orion is trying to hold everything together, and try to tempt his eldest back onto the path of the straight and narrow, and while doing that, he's trying not to think back to the 'good old days' before all this trouble started, because who knows where all that will lead to...

Orion is related to most of the Purebloods about at the moment, even if it is distantly. The Prewetts, Potters, Crouches, Rosiers and Longbottoms to name but a few. However, most of them are undeserving of his attention and he reserves his friendships for his fellow Knights of Walpurgis- that is, Ignatius Prewett, Abraxas Malfoy, Cygnus, and one or two others. If anyone wants to pick up one of his friends or associates I'd love you forever, but I'm really on the look out for Walburga ATM. Anyone know of anyone interested in her?

Hello all!

[info]thesecond_son

Final character for me at the moment and he is Rabastan Lestrange. He's an ambitious forth year Slytherin who's currently trying to find a place for himself in every club going. He's a nasty piece of work, using peer pressure to bully other students in his year and try and force them to conform to his standards.

He idolises his older brother Rodolphus and comes from one of the most well-regarded pureblood families in Britain. Naturally, this has made him almost unbearable. He's also a hypocrite - rationalising the things he does while condemning the same behaviour in others. He's quite cold and hard to get close to, but once you get past all that then he's just a frightened kid who isn't sure how to live-up to all the pressure heaped on him. However, hardly anyone does get past all that. Rabastan has only a few real friends and for the most part they're in the same boat as he is - Slytherin second sons who are expected to do well or else.

So, Rabastan is basically a horrible little boy. If you need someone to turn up to rub it in that you lost the Quidditch match, or that your cauldron exploded or just make your day that bit more miserable than Rabastan can be guaranteed upon to help.

I'd love some people for him to bully, someone who maybe doesn't think he's quite as awful as he actually is and just general plotlines to knock him down a bit.

SO I’M LATE WITH THIS lmao Forgive me! I’m Jilly, turning the big ol’ twenty-one soon and going into my third year of college. If you need me for anything at all, I’m usually on aim at inapropro. Whoo!

Now, I’m here with a character who would be utterly BLISSFUL forever and ever if you all just pretended he didn’t exist. Really. His friends are the interesting and exciting ones and he’s only along to make sure they don’t get themselves killed or worse, expelled!. Your everyday wherewolf wallflower fifth year Gryffindor, Remus Lupin tried (quite desperately, in fact) to give up his Prefect badge this summer to no avail. You may proceed to walk all over his attempts at keeping order, regardless of what house you’re in. Being a doormat holds no bias, really. If you want to go the way of bribes though - chocolate will serve the purpose well.

Apart from that, he’s a people-pleaser at heart. I imagine it would be very difficult to get a rise out of Remus at all because he values calm, rational, and polite behavior above all else. Please not to be touching, it weirds him out. Also!

MARAUDERS WE NEED TO DISCUSS THE MAP. Among other thiiiings.

Hello. I’m Mark. A no life College student and admitted Geek. I’ll be bringing you Mop Mullet. She’s a tiny, hyper, tomboyish, thin skinned quidditch chaser and future member of the Irish national team. She’s great fun, a good friend and too nice for her own good. She needs some friends and such.

Wow looking at all the other intro posts this seems embarrassingly short. Let me know if you have any questions or plot ideas!

[info]ex_headboy634

As Head Boy, Lucius Malfoy is going to make sure some serious changes take place over the next academic year...

First, he's going to enjoy himself as much as possible, and that means keeping hold on the Quidditch Cup, taking as many points from Gryffindor as he can, and staying out way past curfew with the blessings of Prof. Slughorn. As head of the Knights, he's also going to revise the membership, ensuring no muggle or mud-blood sympathisers have slipped in, and ensure that they are not only harassing the foulest subsection of society, but they are petitioning the school board to stop the admittance of those who would clearly benefit more from muggle education.

Second, he's going to ensure that when he leaves Hogwarts (only a few short months away now) he is set and ready to make a name for himself in politics, and that means getting a betrothal, or engagement, to some Pureblood woman of note. And he has just the one in mind. Although that won't stop him enjoying the company of other intelligent and attractive people, of course. And perhaps his father will have died by the time he graduates, and if so, Lucius can take over the Malfoy fortune and start putting it to good use, i.e, his campaign to become Minister of Magic, although he realises that is some way away yet. Rather, he best spend the next few years building up a reputation, climbing the ladders, and then, when the time is right, he will be unstoppable.

For the time being, however, he is going to make sure everyone (save a favoured few) follows the school rules and if anyone else calls him "nouveau riche", they will find themselves hanging upside down from the Astronomy Tower held only by a very very thin thread. Understood?

Jon again! Lucius is this year going to be making his mark on the school, so non-Slytherins be aware. There isn't much that he doesn't want to achieve, and there are certainly a fair few rivals he wants to crush in the next few terms, and he's going to try his hardest to do so. If you're a Slytherin however, or a Pureblood with the right-mindset, getting on his goodside now might ensure you a few favours later on in the year! And I'd love to hear any ideas or storylines Lucius would be able to get involved in. Comment here or AIM old aedelwulf

[info]ex_goingstag609

Hello all! My name is Katherine and I am bringing you James Potter (and possibly Molly Prewett and Frank Longbottom if I finish their apps and get them approved in a timely manner, but more on them when I get there!)

Not to get all dorkily analytical, but I'm planning on playing up the duality of James' character. To his close friends, he's incredibly affectionate, loyal, and up-right. He'll tease and banter and cajole, but he'll always have your back. He's also a bit of a limpet, so unless you indicate hands off to him, you'll likely have him hopping on your back or sprawling playfully over you or trying to mock-wrestle or what-have-you. (Remus, we should talk! I'm fairly sure you're the exception.) In private, he's sweet and willing to be more nakedly honest.

For his more broader group of friends, James is a devilish, fun, unpredictable but ultimately trustworthy guy. Unlike the Weasley twins, James rarely pulls pranks in a void--that is, it's unlikely he'll pull something on you unless you're really asking for it. (He will, however, hex anyone who goes out of their way to annoy him, though he pretty much expects the same in return.) He is, however, infamous (with the others) for getting into wild scrapes or pulling off incredible stunts. He's good for a laugh and, perhaps surprising to some, good for a sympathetic ear. He seems to be missing some of the social cues and inhibitions that most people pick up naturally, but at heart he's a good guy. He deflects personal questions with people who aren't very close friends, however, and he can prove to be difficult to know beyond what he's willing to let people know.

For teachers, he's a rascal and a flirt (he definitely flirts with professors, though he tends to toe the line carefully there--it's meant in good fun, not in any real attempt to go anywhere) who refuses to live up to his potential, especially lately. (Studying to become an Animagi takes a lot of study hours he should be devoting to homework.) He especially likes Poppy and Minerva, though you'd have to hex him and drag him into the Infirmary. The only way he'll go voluntarily is if one of his friends is hurt, and even then he drags his feet. Mostly, he's charming and frustrating.

For his enemies and detractors! He's an arrogant ass who not only assumes he can get away with murder because he has looks, charm, and money to spare--but it seems like he does get away with it. He's often at the center of a flock of people and his antics seem like showboating. He's handy at dueling, he's a show-off, he's a do-gooder who sticks his nose into things that aren't his business, and, most of all, he is a very typical Gryffindor. Snape and Lily should e-mail me if they want to talk specifics!

And that's James. I'm at work all day and can't get on IJ, but I check Gmail often. My e-mail is editmethis@gmail.com.
