It is now a new day in game, Thursday 3rd September 1975. Friday is the day classes begin and the Slytherin Quidditch Try-Outs will take place, so be mindful if your characters are involved with these events (and if they are students and not involved in lessons, you better have a good reason!).

So he’s not in the comms or the button yet but I just got approved for my third and hopefully last character. Professor Robert Ward, the Defense against the Dark Arts teacher (Found at wardswards). He’s been teaching about five years now (Older students may remember his mother the last Defense professor) and is generally pretty good at it, though if the students make an effort they can side track him for pretty much the entire class. He’s a bit like Quirel in that his last job made him a bit skittish but he really does know his stuff and is more than happy to tutor poorer students or ones that want to make a career out of this stuff. So that’s about it. Plot anyone?

I've had a few people asking about the profile layouts that some characters are using. These aren't compulsory at all, but if anyone is interested in filling one in, here is a code adapted for the game. The code is not ours, it was made by the lovely splott at RP Tutorials who have a lot of other ideas for profile layouts HERE.

Well hello there everyone! My name is Kat and I am playing Amelia Bones, future head of Magical Law Enforcement and presiding authority of the Wizengamot as of Harry's trial for Performing Magic in Front of Muggles.

I'm 25, a college student, and I work nights until the end of the month (when I'm unemployed). It's entirely Gabhi's ( bitcharoundhere clumsy_x ) fault that I joined this RP. I've never roleplayed in such a format before, so like...wow. It's a lot of work and effort to create but a lot of fun, too!

My character has a serious issue with Bellatrix Black, but otherwise, despite being a Ravenclaw, tries to befriend everyone she can--even Slytherins. Her father is Pureblood but her mother is Muggle-born, so she does get some flack for that, but not too much. She's never really given any thought to her sexuality, so if anyone would like to hit on her, she'll probably be very surprised. (She's not the most sexual of creatures--at least, not that she knows yet!!)

I'm up for pretty much anything, so uhm, comment here or my AIM is The Snarky Zombie. I'm reachable most nights after 9:30pm New York time (EST).

Hi everybody!

So, I'm Jenni, a soon-to-be college freshman and I'll be bringing you Abigail "Abby" She's a short, overly chatty fifth year Hufflepuff (and is also Al's little sister). She's has a short attention span and because of that she's pretty clumsy. She's off thinking or doing something else rather than paying attention to what she's doing. She loves talking, and can't really stand silence. She also likes knowing things and particpates in gossip but mostly because she doesn't like feeling like things are happening and she doesn't know them. She's not very good at judging what should be kept to herself and what shouldn't, so if she's told something and isn't sworn to secrecy she'll probably tell anybody who asks.

She's muggleborn, but not very easy to upset. She doesn't like fighting or arguing, you see; she'd rather brush things off - forgive and forget. She'll laugh off almost anything. But if you start insulting her family, she'll have a lot of difficulty swalling her anger. App is here.

Oh, and she's pretty gullible.

Hey, it's Kaye again! And I've got another boy to show off!

This is, ahem, Peter Pettigrew. That's right! We have the shortest, possibly most awkward (really, it depends on the day, because Remus really likes to try to steal that title a lot) Marauder in toooown. He's James Potter's number one fan (BEAT THAT, BASIL) and is generally nice. Though, if James decides he doesn't like somebody, then Peter doesn't like them either. When he's alone, though, he's less likely to show it and more likely to be friendly.

He's not as dimwitted as he usually comes off to be. He's complete shite at Transfiguration, really, but he's learning and learning fast! He just needs help. He's quite amazing in Potions, though! Problem is that between his nervousness of having Slughorn breathing down his neck and getting distracted by James and Sirius goofing off, his potions in class don't always live up to their standards. Get him alone in a room to brew all by himself, though... Well, he could very well brew you a potion for RESURRECTION. Ahem.

His father ran for Minister of Magic about nine years ago, so if anybody actually was aware enough in politics that long ago, they'd vaguely remember that. He lost pretty badly, though, so it was quite humiliating, and the Pettigrew name kind of disappeared for a while before Peter showed up. So, yes! He's here. He's awkward. He just doesn't want to commit social suicide. It's PETEY.

Hi, everyone!

This is Sybill Trelawney! Her bio and whatnot can be found in her journal, the first entry. Billy, as is one of the nicknames I've given her, is a 7th year Hufflepuff. She doesn't have much direction, but she's certainly friendly. Then there's that little matter of her being a seer, yeah, that's true. She has a tendency not to really share what she actually sees. Oh, and if you think Sybill's crazy you should hear about her family! Anyway, she's grown up learning about Divination, and she's more than happy to help others in that area. She loves the attention she gets when she's reading someone period. She is friendly, jack of a lot of trades but master of none....other than Divination. Oh, she's not nearly as out there as she is in the books, she's not quite reached that level yet, if that helps!

Anywhooo! I'd love to get some friends for her, and will gladly take any line that someone would like to throw my way!

So this is Rodolphus Lestrange a seventh year Slytherin, PB Harry Treadaway, older brother to Rabastan Lestrange. He is also best friends and rivals of a sorts to Lucius Malfoy. He is an insufferable snob and if you are not pure of blood he really wants nothing to do with and it is worse if you are what he considers a blood traitor, Sirius Black. Much like most Slytherins he strives to be the best at everything he does, and God help us all if he fails.

Anyway I am Arika and this is honestly my first HP game so forgive me if I mess up. I am totally up for plotting and just random scenes. I know Rodolphus would love some underclass boys and girls to torment, as well as other friends he deems worthy as in Narcissa and Bellatrix, and Rita to name a few. That is all I can think of for now, other than thank you mods for letting me in and creating this game.

Oh one last thing I may be slow to respond and not on aim the next few days because I will be at work and then staying at the house of our Regulus Black. She is the reason I found and joined this game. We are friends and co-workers.

He spends most of his time helping younger years with their work and he won't deny help to anyone that hasn't proven themselves a jerk to him. He likes giving out nicknames and playful, good natured teasing. So plot? Friends, enemies, and anything in between.

Hello all! This is Lynn and I bring with me Emmeline Vance. Emmeline is a 6th year Ravenclaw and a general pain in the... neck. >.> She is a pureblood of fairly high standing though not nearly as much as a Black, she is extremely smart, but to the sheer detriment of her social skills. Emmeline gets anxious and nervous if something will not fit into a logical box and she's not able to understand it fully. She believes in rules as a means for order and is extremely uptight. She is the sort of girl who wants to be like everyone else but just can't seem to comprehend how to do that. Annnnd last but not least, she is a Prefect!

I have a few storylines in mind but I am ALWAYS open to backstory and plotting. I seriously love it. As far as what Emmeline "needs" would first and foremost be some (a?) very patient friends and probably some people who can't stand her...

As for me- I'm 24, in the GMT -5 timezone, and married with a puppy. (His name is Emmett and he is a Westie- the puppy, I mean.) This is Tiberius McLaggen, who will grow to become uncle of Comrac McLaggen, and hunting companion of Rufus Scrimgeour. He is at the moment however 7th Year in Gryffindor house, and Keeper for the team (if Miss Molly doesn't mind). He's smart, brave, strong, friendly and outwardly all the best traits of Gryffindor house. He's handsome, kind and often the gentleman, and the teasing flirt, to young women, despite his attraction for the same sex, and he's always got a good word at the ready when other people are feeling low. He's your classic nice guy.

It's all an act. He's brush, manipulative, head-strong and thinks he knows better than anyone, teachers and students both. He doesn't think things through but goes by instinct, and as he has a habit of taking things over and dominating groups, that often means he's no help to situations, and will often abandon things when the start to go sour.

Needless to say, he didn't think he was going to be put into Gryffindor, but apparently he embodies all the worst traits of the house, which happen to be some of the most common traits of Slytherin. Being a Gryffindor, however, means he can get away with far more than a Slytherin can, considering the reputation of that particular house.

He needs friends in his own year, and maybe one or two enemies that know him as he really is, including an ex, perhaps, with whom he's had a messy break up the year before when they worked him out to be a total bastard.

In order to do something interesting for her future in some way, Bella has the idea of starting a newspaper for Hogwarts. She will be using some help though.
Toby Dixie will be the photographer for the newspaper and Bella and Rita Skeeter will take care of the gossip part, but there's still a lot to be made.

There needs be a part for Quidditch and for school announcements.
So, hm, I (Gabhi, not Bella, since we're talking in the OOC comm lol) will be more than pleased to see if you guys are interested in writing the Quidditch part, and YES, I'm accepting suggestions and you're more than welcome to write for it. Want to write a whole page about cooking? About flying? Maybe be the guy/girl interviewing people? Whatever, guys, be creative, it's gonna be a weekly newspaper, there's a lot that can be done about it. :D

And yes, Bella's kind of the editor, since it was her idea after all, but just because she's a bitch that you hate it doesn't mean that you shouldn't participate =D She will try to say that she's the boss and all, but really, she isn't. She's just another person working on one of her first really good ideas. lol

ooc: Hello all! I can't believe I am back in this fandom after a three year hiatus due to less than satisfactory comms and modding. I have such hopes for my boy here, that is why I applied. Just so I don’t mess things up. What’s the date in game?

I'm the player of Bellatrix. I'm Gabhi. So, I'm playing an OC called Toby Dixxie and he's... the opposite of Bellatrix, actually. He's a Ravenclaw born muggle, extremely clumsy, a little bit shy and with low self-esteem.

The poor thing lets people bully him because he has grown up like that, issues with his jerk brother Bernard and all that (I fucking love this name, Bernard, oh well). So to try to stop at least Bellatrix to bully him (because really, Bella would LOVELOVELOVE to bully him, and since I cannot bully myself, I had to make something for her to me impossible to bully him), he'll be the photographer for the school's newspaper, a project that Bella is organizing simply because of the gossip and for the people that can get their feelings hurt because of this.

The photographer has a huge heart though. He doesn't realize at first that people can get hurt with it, so he'll just take the photos for the newspaper.

His best friend is the Hufflepuff Basil, but by now he obviously has some more friends. I'm needing people to bully him, to be friends with him, to stand up on his defense against the bully fans, and whatever plot you have in mind might please me.

Toby's bisexual, obviously, but he likes to keep it a secret that he has already kissed boys. Well, a boy actually, it was only one. He has a hard time believe that people would find him attractive, so he just doesn't... date much.
