Marcus wasn't really sure why he cared at all. It wasn't like he was seeing Lily, and it wasn't like the Malfoy match was a bad one for the girl. If anything, it was a good, pureblooded match and certainly not something someone like him could top. They'd only been out the once, and then the Gala, hell he didn't even like to count the potion induced moments. Yet, the idea of the two of them together had made him more than a little angry. He'd sent her the owl out of frustration, hoping that at least it wouldn't look like he cared.

He did though, and it was frustrating trying to work out the reasons. Tamsin had a boyfriend and he was quite happy to continue seeing her on the side, on a near daily basis, but the idea o Lily and Malfoy annoyed him for reasons he could not yet understand. Maybe it was because he knew part of her actually liked him, or because he'd been sure he'd been in there with a shot. In the end, he'd asked, no demanded, that Lily pop over. This way at least he could take his frustrations out on her.

Lily found herself relieved when Marcus stopped calling her Miss Moon. She didn't know why. It just seemed to matter that he know the truth. And it bothered her when Tamsin said marrying Malfoy was better than marrying Flint. Because it wasn't at all.

Her mind was reeling between the owls and journal. Everyone had an opinion. Marcus said he would fix it but Lily had no idea how. It felt good for him to say so though. She wanted to believe that he could. It was also good when a clear voice told her what to do by owl. She floo'd to his place and stepped out of the fireplace before calling his name.

Hearing Lily's voice, Marcus smiled to himself. He waited or a moment, letting her stew in it just a little bit before standing up and walking out of his study and into the living room. Covering the short distance between them, Marcus said nothing before he pulled her roughly against him and kissed her hard on the mouth. His hands moved across her jaw and into her hair.

"Mine." He growled against her lips. She was his, so was Tam. Whether they liked it or not, and he wasn't giving that up.

Lily was surprised to be pulled to him and she gasped. She returned his kiss pressing close to him as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

At his word, Lily could feel her cheeks warm. "I suppose that answers that question." She kissed him again briefly. "What are we going to do?" Lily had no idea how they got here. If you had asked her yesterday if she thought Marcus wanted to date her she would have said no. Now she wasn't so sure.

And it was possible that she was thinking too much.

Marcus frowned at her question. He wasn't really sure what could be done. "One of you will need to withdraw from the arrangement." He said finally, moving his lips down to her throat. It wasn't like every engagement that was announced actually led to a wedding. He could remember his mother trying to select more than a few young ladies.

"Negotiations fizzle out, and someone else better comes along, for you and for him, and all we'll see is six month later you'll be announced engaged to someone else." Marcus murmured as he popped open her bra.

"I don't see that happening," Lily murmured tipping her head back with a moan. The truth was, there wasn't a better name that Malfoy. By all accounts, Lily's mum couldn't have done much better with the match.

"Mum doesn't think plans are anything but firm. That's..." Lily moaned running her hands down his back. "Fuck...done talking about Mum and Malfoy." She needed to forget.

Marcus nodded as Lily spoke, quite happy to let her keep talking as he worked to undo the rest of her clothing. It kept her occupied, and he could quite easily tune her out. Besides, with the little gasps, he was quite sure that he was doing a very good job of turning her on.

Her clothing pooled to the floor as she kept talking and then stopped. He smirked, his fingers running across bare skin. "As you wish." Marcus said as he picked her up and carried her over to the sofa, there was no making it to the bed. Lying her down on the cushions, he moved to part her thighs. "Spread them for me, poppet. I'll make you scream like Malfoy never could."

	When did she get naked? But she was. And a moment later she was in Marcus' arms being carried to the sofa. She didn't fight it. Lily just wrapped her legs around his waist as he carried them. 	"And he never will." Marcus added as he leaned in to kiss her, roughly, his fingers delving between her thighs, teasing her as he found her folds. He groaned as she ran her fingers down his back, and before he knew it, he was lining himself up and thrusting inside her. 	Lily returned his kiss and arched her body into his touch. His fingers were coaxing intense sensations from her body.
