Okay as promised, here is the Carnival de Nuit. I am going to make this as uncomplicated and simple as I can. Here is what you need to know:

* It opens at 10pm sharp.
* It is set in a vacant field outside London proper.
* The area is heavily made up of blooming cherry blossoms (charmed to grow in the area for the night), there are trails leading to many of the tents and the area is lit by paper lanterns charmed to glow extra bright.
* There are carnival rides (the Muggles do know something about fun!), food vendors selling every sugary, chocolate and cinnamon confection you can think of and more. There are tents with mirror mazes, fortune tellers, wandering mimes, and various other performing acts. Lets not forget carnival games that let you win those little prizes like giant stuffed animals!
* Around midnight the Death Eaters will start their evilness which includes raising an inferi army and setting them loose on the crowd below. Naturally there will be panic, chaos and a mass push to leave the area. Small fires will be started as people knock things over and the like. Everyone has their numbers which is the upper limits in which their injuries can reach.
* The dark mark is seen in the skies immediately following.

As always I will leave a spot for IC/OOC comments and any threads as people wish. Because of Easter naturally this will be considered active for a full week to make up for any busy schedules.

It is the night of the Gala!

The Gala is of course held in a high class but acceptible place and is meant to be a formal event! In going with the Valentines Day theme the place is decorated in shades of white, pale pink, and red. There are all types of candies (no, no one drugged this with love potions), there are tiny cupids that follow people along serenading couples, there are dancing, and various popular bands have been recruited to play. Events at the gala include a silent auction on various pieces of quidditch memorabilia, fine wines and whiskey, and autographs from various famous people. People, of course, are allowed to make donations and will be featured in the write up about the event (if you want your character to donate let me know). Towards the end of the gala, once everyone has had time to dance and drink, there will be an altercation between a lesser DE and someone of anti-Voldermort feelings... Tempers will boil and the fight will snowball from there.

As an IC/OCC thread feel free to just say what happened or actually play it out. It is up to you! I will break the thread down into sections just to keep things a little organized. It would be great too if you can tag the entry as you post/respond for the first time.
