Maybe it was just that he was in love with her, but whenever Gwendolyn was on the stage, Adrian found he couldn't keep his eyes off her. She seemed to steal every scene, so when the curtain finally dropped and the lights came on, Adrian found himself on his feet, giving a standing ovation, something he'd never done before. The crowd started to move out of the theatre, and Adrian found himself excited to see her. He'd planned an extravagant night for their first Valentine's together since Hogwarts, and he couldn't wait to see if she liked it.

Astoria thought he was crazy, he knew, because he didn't believe he had much of a chance of changing Gwen's heart about how she felt, but he still wanted to give her everything he could. With Stori's help, he had the whole evening planned out.

Holding a single red rose, he waited at the side door, much like he had the first time he'd come to see her in a play, only this time, he wasn't nervous that she'd just slap him and walk away.

"You were great!" he said, when she finally came out. "This is for you."

Adrian honestly didn't understand how every man that was lucky enough to see that smile didn't fall helplessly in love with her. It was breathtaking, and for a minute or so, he forgot that her question required an answer.

"Yes, there was a lot of talk while I waited, all good, I assure you," he said. He had only heard one couple grumbling about the change, but he recognised her as the Muggleborn Beater for the Wasps, so he didn't really pay much attention to it.

When she finished, he stood up and held out his hand to her, helping her to stand.

"Time for dessert," he said, with a cheeky smirk, then led her up the stairs to the bathroom, which, much like downstairs, was completely candlelit. The scent of the oils in the bath filled the room, and the rose petals were sprinkled on the floor, and in the water. "May I unzip you, Miss Montgomery," he asked standing behind her and running his finger along the collar of her dress, dipping inside to touch her bare skin.

Gwendolyn was beyond pleased. Everything had turned out so wonderfully. The reviews were bound to be amazing in the morning, and Adrian was really being amazing at the moment. Taking his hand as he offered it, Gwen grinned at the mention of dessert. She could already imagine what it was, and as he led her upstairs, she was already fairly certain that they'd end up in bed.

"You're dessert aren't you." Gwen teased as they walked into the bathroom. She stopped as the scents hit her and she smiled. It was lovely, really. So much effort, and it was evident. His hand on her back sent shivers through her and she nodded. "Please." She said with a nod.

Already half-hard at just the idea of it, his slid his hands down her side while he bent his head to press another kiss to her shoulder. He brushed her hair aside, kissing th back of her neck as he slowly slid the zip of her dress down.

"No," he whispered, against her skin, answering her question finally.. "You are, but first, you need to be - prepared." He pushed the dress down her shoulders, letting it pool at her feet. He kissed down her spine, and helped her step out of it, removing her shoes as he did. Once she was naked, he helped her to the tub, holding we hand as she stepped it. He handed her a glass of champagne, and made sure the strawberries were within reach before he collected her dress. "Relax, I'll be back in a moment."

He took her dress, and shoes, to the bedroom and hung it up in the wardrobe. Then, he retrieved the jewellery box from his warded night-stand drawer and placed it in the centre of the rose petal heart on the bed, ready for her when she came in. That done, he removed his suit and hung it, before rejoining her, naked and obviously erect at the sight of her.

"Got room in there for me?" he asked, sliding his hand across her slippery shoulders, needing them slightly.

Gwendolyn shivered as his lips touched her shoulder. She closed her eyes, enjoying the feel of his lips and then the dress sliding off her body. Her breathing was started to come a little faster as she let him undress her though her eyes opened now, and it took all of her effort not to kiss him. Saying nothing as she was helped out of her clothing, then her shoes, Gwen nodded as he helped her into the tub.

Sliding down into the warm water, she sighed contently and relaxed against the back of the tub, champagne glass in hand. Closing her eyes, she leaned back, and quietly sipped her champagne. When she heard Adrian come back in, she turned and smile. Salazar, he really did look amazing naked. Gwen ran her tongue over her lower lip as she gazed at his erection.

"I think we both might have room for you." Gwen said with a giggle as she scooted over a bit so that Adrian had enough space. "Thank you for all of this, darling. Though I'm afraid to give you my gift now."

He slipped in the water behind her, his legs on either side of her body and pulled her back against him. He loved the feel of her skin against him in the warm water and he kissed her neck again. This was perfect, just like she was, and he was glad that he was able to spoil her.

"You're all the gift I need," he said, his hand moving up to massage her shoulders. It was true. All he needed to be happy was having her in his arms, just like this.

Making sure she was out of the way, Gwen held her glass high as Adrian slipped into the bath behind her. Sighing contently at the feel of his fingers digging into her shoulders she glanced back at him. "That's good then, as I was part of your gift." She said with a giggle. "Thought I might take a mini-break at yours. Until Sunday? If that's okay? Mind, I'll have to go to the theatre for the shows, but I'd be all yours the rest of the time."

If he hadn't been holding her so tightly, he might have missed the shivers that went through her, but he was, and he felt them, smiling to himself. Whatever her heart felt, her body was definitely in tune with his. The smile only broadened when he saw her enjoying her strawberries. He silently thanked himself for remembering that she didn't like chocolate and guiding Astoria towards the berries instead.

"You're my dessert, Goddess," he purred, then sucked her lobe between his teeth and flicked it with his tongue.

Personally, Adrian didn't think Gwendolyn needed anything more that what she was wearing to make her the most beautiful girl in the world. She took his breath away.
