It was difficult, working without leads, contacts, allies. He was good, he was one of the best, but he wasn't a magician. He couldn't conjure the man out of thin air. Still, all his intelligence pointed to Harkness being here. They wouldn't have sent a top agent if they weren't completely sure; at least, he hoped they wouldn't.

He'd settled into his assigned flat, although that hadn't taken long. He didn't expect to spend much time there, it wasn't like wanted assassins just came up and knocked on the door. Once that was done, he headed out into the streets, not sure what he was looking for. Yet.

OOC: Meet Jones. Ianto Jones. Ianto was fired from Torchwood One and had his memory erased for voicing doubts about the use of the Ghost Machine. The government was still interested in him, though, so he was transferred and became a secret agent. He never returned to Cardiff and never worked for Torchwood Three. As far as he knows, Jack Harkness is a suspected assassin he has been assigned to track.

	He could hear the two distinct voice now, a man and a woman. Seemed to be the people he was looking for. He slowly pulled out his gun and held it at the ready, but still hidden, not sure what he would find. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Dammit, she was just not budging, not even trying to make up answers or anything. He needed to add some more pressure-- after all, the only things he'd done so far were talk at her and point a spray canister. He drew his gun out, keeping it pointed at the ceiling for now.

"Stop wasting my time. Tell me. Tell me how to get into those databases, and if you can't do that, then you better tell me the information I want from the databases. Tell me about the Doctor."

	He stopped outside the door, silent, listening. This might give him a clue as to what Harkness was after. But no, he was saying something about some doctor. Maybe he was just mental case after all. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	The woman apparently agreed (not that she knew it was agreeing) that she was dealing with a crazy man. She tried to explain herself again, that she wasn't whatever this Torchwood was, and told him to look in her purse and he'd see her government ID. "Fine, but don't try to run while I do this, hmm?" 	Damn it, damn it, damn it! He'd gotten way too sloppy, and his time with the Doctor doing things differently from in the Time Agency had helped rapidly erode his little experience in handling things like this. 	He put the woman's PDA back into the purse first, then turned a little as he slid it along the floor. Ought to see who'd come in and messed this up more than it already was. ... Well, wow. 	He kept his eyes trained on Harkness while he slid the purse across the floor, using his foot to nudge it over to the woman. "Is that all? He didn't taken anything else?" He really strongly hoped this wouldn't end in his getting shot. Maybe this guy just wanted the woman safe and then he'd take Jack off to jail or something... which would also suck, but at least it wouldn't be having a bullet in him.

"Okay. Going down." Keeping his movements slow for the guy to observe, he set his gun on the floor. Much rather put it there than drop it, anyway, since dropping a loaded gun was a very bad idea indeed.
