It was difficult, working without leads, contacts, allies. He was good, he was one of the best, but he wasn't a magician. He couldn't conjure the man out of thin air. Still, all his intelligence pointed to Harkness being here. They wouldn't have sent a top agent if they weren't completely sure; at least, he hoped they wouldn't.

He'd settled into his assigned flat, although that hadn't taken long. He didn't expect to spend much time there, it wasn't like wanted assassins just came up and knocked on the door. Once that was done, he headed out into the streets, not sure what he was looking for. Yet.

OOC: Meet Jones. Ianto Jones. Ianto was fired from Torchwood One and had his memory erased for voicing doubts about the use of the Ghost Machine. The government was still interested in him, though, so he was transferred and became a secret agent. He never returned to Cardiff and never worked for Torchwood Three. As far as he knows, Jack Harkness is a suspected assassin he has been assigned to track.
