I'm not even going to mention the trol - Gwen is kind and wonderful and not a nasty troll And she is infinitely better then the evil troll his highness was courting and almost married...

I'm going to be in so much trouble.

He did what?

There was a troll. Uther was courting it, well -- married it. He was a little enchanted but still. It ate and slept in dung...

We made things right eventually.

My father married a troll.

[Merlin]
I apologize.

Yes. You may have mentioned being witness to flirting, and I try desperately not to think of the wedding night.

Arthur
You don't have to apologize, Arthur...But thank you. I'm sorry too.

Thank you, Merlin, for that stunningly abhorrent mental image.

Merlin
I really think I do. You picked a highly inauspicious time to return.

Just think on our wedding night, will make it all better.

That is not helpful, Guinevere. Because now I'm imagining you as a troll and this is a hundred times worse.

Need I remind you of our wedding night?

You're welcome, sire. I felt it only fair you share in my pain of having that terrible idea burned in my brain.

Arthur
I left at the worst possible time too, even if I didn't mean to. I understand why you were upset.

Have you got a spell to remove it now?

Merlin
You did. I was quite prepared to never speak to you again.

If I had, it would be gone. It is clearly a terrible curse we must both live with.

Arthur
I'm glad you've changed your mind.

Don't do it again. Losing one of you was bad enough. Do not do that to Morgana or myself again.

I never would have left you if I'd had the choice. I wish I hadn't left at all. Especially not then.

And your efforts are both effective and highly appreciated.

You're wonderful, Merlin. It truly is good to have you back.

Always nice to be appreciated.

Morgana
It earned me forgiveness. Arthur obviously appreciated that fun fact as well. I'm still waiting for Uther to say something. Of course, I wouldn't know what to say to that either if it were me.

We always appreciate you, Merlin. Even the .. prat.

Now you'll have to tell me everything, from start to finish.

[Merlin]

Quicker than usual. I'm glad of it. I doubt he believes you. And if he does, I highly doubt he'll admit to it.

I'd be happy to tell you about it.

Morgana

I think he realized I didn't intend to leave. He just needed to calm down. I have the feeling Gwen helped too.

I'm almost surprised he hasn't had a fit about Arthur and I mentioning magic. The good thing about going home and coming back, I know he won't remember anything I say or do here. So we won't go back to Camelot and suddenly have the knights banging down my door.
