What were you thinking?!

She's a good person and if that's your only complaint, it holds no ground here.

I was thinking that I loved her and quite enjoyed the idea of waking up beside her.

It's not right Arthur. You know that!! I didn't spend twenty years teaching you to be a good King to have you go forget everything thanks to a fling with a servant!

Once we get to Camelot, this finishes. No arguments.

Considering I married her, I'd say it's more substantial than a fling.

If we remember any of this, you can hardly stop me. Think what you'd like.

Don't test me, Arthur.

I know this girl. She was accused with witchcraft once. Don't forget that.

And then her name was cleared and the worst that happened was you sent a completely innocent girl to the dungeons and then executed her father.

There was no proof her Father was not involved with Sorcery.

There was very little proof that he was.

I don't want to argue this again, Arthur. Whatever this thing with Guinevere is, it will stop. That is the end of the matter.

On the off chance you may have missed it, your word means very little here. I love her. We've already been married for a month. It's not going to magically disappear because you disapprove.

But when we return to Camelot, it will end. You can't deny that. And by being stubborn you're only going to make it worse for yourself.

You're my son, Arthur. I'm only trying to do whats best you you.

How is fighting this what's best for me?

You can't have a servant as your wife. Have you thought about the Kingdom? How different things will be for you both when you get home?

It won't work, Arthur. It will never work and you need to accept it before you get hurt.

Don't for one second thing Camelot is not always first and foremost in my mind in everything I do here.

The only one opposing this is you. The majority of our people are peasants, sire. Guinevere is well loved in the city and she certainly cares more about those who lived near her than you.

Exactly. You just said it. Peasants. How do you expect a Peasant to rule as Queen? It's enough pressure for you, let alone her. How will that do Camelot any good?

She knows how to relate to our people better than we do. She's got a position that affords her that knowledge. How is that going to harm Camelot?
