Accidental Voice Post
(There is the distinct sound of gunshots, followed by a loud thump. River sounds slightly breathless but still rather amused.)

That's one.

(Another series of gunshots echo in the background, with two in rapid succession very close to the PDA.)

Two and three.

(Yet more gunshots, a grunt in the distance, and River's laughing in delight.)

And would you look at that. Six of you left and you're all out of ammunition. You really should work on your aim. It's ever so handy in situations like this one.

(There is a bit of clatter then the sound of several pairs of footsteps running away. River sighs and gives a 'tsk' of disappointment.)

Oh, bother. And I was having such fun, too. Haven't had a decent shootout in ages...

Somehow I think neither aim nor intelligence were a factor in gathering these individuals. Did you manage to get a reason as to why they were shooting at you? Or, no, I imagine if you were having that much fun shooting back you wouldn't have bothered asking.

And no, I would think shooting at someone who's already armed in a situation where she doesn't have to be wouldn't be the smartest move that anyone could make. It's just asking for trouble.

Armed when I don't have to be? Tell me, dear, have you taken a look around you recently? Considering the utter madness that tends to happen in this city more often than not, why wouldn't I be armed?

[a pause]

And no. I didn't get a reason. I suppose I'm a bit used to being shot at in some form or fashion, after all this time. It's rather typical. [another pause] But always so very amusing when it happens, each and every time.

	I see. [ pause as he considers what she said ] I do suppose being overly prepared for some situations is better than being under prepared for others. Either way. I'm certain that if they're really determined, they'll take another pass. (Reply to this) (Parent)
