Okay, everyone who's discovering they have a "twin"... how can you not know if you have a twin?

I don't know why, but the thought that someone could discover they have a twin and not just feel it deep down really, really bugs me. It's so fundamental to who you are. Maybe there's some other explanation besides being twins. If we can all share mass amnesia, maybe there can be some kind of face-sharing.

I would imagine I wouldn't know I had a twin in the same way I don't know for a fact that I have children. And I don't know why either, but the thought of me not having a connection with anyone, anywhere, in this city bothers me in ways I can't really put into words. So does feeling as though I'm somehow 'wrong' because I may actually have a twin I can't automatically sense.

The fact is, the majority of us know more about random, pointless facts than we do ourselves, right now. So I, for one, am not ruling anything out. Not the idea of a twin I can't remember or your suggestion that I just somehow have a face-sharing double of some kind.

Sorry if that came off accusatory. For whatever reason, I seem to have very strong opinions about twins.
