We don't have a plan and she keeps killing us. She's not going to stop. So why aren't we giving her what she wants already? That Key isn't any more or less special than my friends or anyone else's.

Everyone has to pretend they're better than they really are, Parker. That's the song and dance humanity does to try and elevate themselves above the rest of the animal kingdom.

They'd rather let everything around them get destroyed than make the tough decisions.
