We don't have a plan and she keeps killing us. She's not going to stop. So why aren't we giving her what she wants already? That Key isn't any more or less special than my friends or anyone else's.

I know you're upset about Eliot. We all are.

But there are things you don't understand. If it was a matter of sacrificing one for the many, it would be done. But it's not that simple. You can not fathom the hell that will be wrought if Glory gets her Key. We're talking Hell of a magnitude even I can not imagine, Parker.

You trust me, don't you? You know I would never wish for anything to harm you, or Eliot. i have failed him. I will not fail you further. Trust ion me, Parker, that I have a plan. It takes time, to plan an attack on a power greater than yourself that reaches beyond a simple storming of the castle. It takes time to plan and work out the strategy.

I am not sitting idly by while a hell bitch destroys thew world around us. I will stop her ~~or die trying~~.

Yes, she is right. Her point is valid.

But so is mine. You did not choose this. And being this Key is unfortunate, but it also means an insane hell bitch will use you to destroy the world. And I, for one, will not allow that to happen.

I rather like this cozy little pocket universe we've got going here. And I rather like keeping my employees alive.

You're not giving yourself up, Dawn. That is not an option.

I realise I am out classed by quite a bit. Chances are she can and will take me if I try to go after her. But there's also that little story about David and Goliath. Sometimes the one with the least brute force is the one who wins. All it takes is one well aimed, well timed shot.

I'm no expert, I'm not even from the same reality as you. But my assumption? The energy that makes you the Key is essential to your existence. I believe that is what makes you who, and what, you are. Without that, there is no you.

I'm not even sure it could be removed. This is a difficult time, Dawn. But we are working toward a resolution that allows you to live without this fear hanging over you. Glory will be dealt with, and her reign of terror will be ended.
