WHO Mona & Kit WHEN Nov 13th - early afternoon WHERE Mona's trailer WHAT Yeah, let's go to a medical professional WARNINGS general sickness
Mona could not remember the last time she felt this utterly wretched. If Mona had been more well she might have considered that this made a lot of sense. People often got sick when they were on foreign holidays because they were being subjected to a lot of new germs their body wasn't ready for, and Mona spent her nights touching the hands and money of so many strangers.
But still, sitting on the floor of the shower while it ran down on her - luke-warm and very soothing - Mona felt like she was on the edge of delirium. What had yesterday been sniffles and general unease had quickly mutated into... well, she didn't quite know what she had, but it was enough that she'd told off some scary stranger man and asked Kit about vampire boners. She wasn't quite herself.
The lifehack of 'put your phone in a sandwich bag so you can take it in the shower!' had caused trouble. But it had also reminded her that there was a clinic and probably with magic healers! Surely no one there was going to just sent her back to her caravan with 'drink lots of water, pop some paracetamol and wait it out'.
So she slowly and uneasily pulled herself up and staggered towards the closet, half of it made up of items borrowed from Margo, Maddy and Elia. She pulled out a yellow sundress and then sat down on the bed heavily while she gathered the energy for the next step of putting it on. She might have waited a lot longer, but she knew Kit was on his way.
So Mona pulled the dress on over her head and felt the uncomfortable cling of it against her wet skin. (If The World thought Mona had the added energy for a bra it was very much mistaken, but she did decide that The World was probably right about underpants and she dug some out.) For now her hair down her back was cool, but she was sure it was going to get sticky later.
Now she just needed to wait. Maybe lying down. Yeah, Mona would wait lying down.
