Hello, my name is Louis. I'm not sure what I'm doing here or exactly how I got here. I was given a phone, computer, some money then dropped off here where I'm to live. This is strange. I would blame some I know, but for some reason I don't think they had anything to do with this.

You're serious? I see. [...] I'm a woman of science. I'm going to need a moment to digest this.

Why would I lie about something like that? It's more likely to cause everyone to fear me or want to put me away. Science can't explain everything.

Sometimes science and technology are indistinguishable from magic. And you could probably posit that vampirism, at its core, is basically a blood borne pathogen, even if it was ultimately derived from a "curse".

I can't tell you it's origins, my maker never told me. But yes at a basic level it could be seen as a blood borne pathogen when one doesn't know the ins and outs of it.

Interesting, but I'll do my best to rein in my fascination before I offend or make you uncomfortable.

I don't think you can offend me or make me too uncomfortable too easily. I don't mind if you have questions.

All the same, maybe I should save my curiosity-fueled interrogation for a time when you're not first settling in.

I appreciate the kindness, but if later you still have questions, feel free to ask.
