Kids are pretty smart. You can probably sit her down and talk out her feelings. She's scared but she trusts the two of you. Honestly sometimes just talking it out helps a lot.

Honestly, part of it comes with the last name. We were way too comfortable and at peace. We don't get that kind of life.

I usually am the optimist. But, you know, that's when bad news from home started showing up in droves. And I saw my kid for the first time in almost four years but she was almost my age. And then she left. And then Diego showed up and he left. So. It's been a thing.
