Last night, just after midnight, one of the Ministry's own hitwitches, Brenna McKimmon, encountered a rogue werewolf preying on a Muggle family in Cardiff. Due to the Ministry's exceptional training programs, the recently graduated witch was able to subdue and drive away the attacker.

We are urging all residents in and around Cardiff to beware of this rogue werewolf. He is described as being tall, roughly 6'2", with bleached blond hair and sunken cheeks. He was seen wearing a black trenchcoat. The Aurors will be investigating this case more thoroughly, but in the meantime, do be careful.

Aurors at the scene likened the attack to those rumored to be favored by Fenrir Greyback, but we would like to emphasize that this is not Fenrir, but another werewolf who apparently subscribes to a similar methodology. Please be advised that werewolves are somewhat resistant to normal spells, and if you should come across him you should not engage him but instead apparate away to report his location to a Ministry official.

The bodies of two elderly women were found inside their home near Cardiff yesterday. They appeared to have been brutally beaten and mauled prior to their deaths, which appear to have been caused by several savage bite marks to their throats. Forensics experts say that the bites were caused by human teeth, and are not the work of any animal.

As the women lived alone, their bodies were not discovered for some time. Authorities estimate the murders had occurred roughly three to four days prior to the discovery of the bodies.

Both bodies bore what appear to be deliberate "signature" markings, though the exact nature of the markings was not revealed to us. However, authorities are collaborating with those in London, as similarly marked bodies were found there just one week ago. Is this this work of some deranged serial killer, or is it a case of copy-cats? Perhaps it is a collaborative effort between two - or more - killers.

Until a culprit is found, we are urging everyone to be cautious and to report any suspicious activity in your neighborhoods to the proper authorities.
