Summary: Pansy is spending a quiet afternoon with her daughter. At least, that was the plan.
Pansy was sitting at the piano with Polly in her lap, letting her daughter bang on the keys. Never too early, she thought to herself as she held the baby with one hand and plucked out a melody with her other hand. She was trying to sing along with her tune, but Polly's discordant hammering on the keyboard tended to distract her.
Polly loved it, though. That was the only reason Pansy hadn't moved her to her little play rug on the floor. That, and that Polly picked up terrible static from scooting along the carpet when she was on the floor. It made picking her up difficult.
Actually, catching her was difficult these days. She either rolled or scooted into places Pansy wouldn't have thought she could get into if she hadn't have been watching it happen. She was doing her best to let her daughter explore, only stopping her if she was near something dangerous. She'd even let her (gag!) put a dust bunny in her mouth. Happily, Polly hadn't seemed to care for the texture and had let it dribble back out.
Pansy had spoken to Hilly about cleaning in the corners after that, though.
Polly squealed and waved her arms, hitting the keys again.
