‘Maybe you should send your laundry over here,’ Pansy mused. ‘Or Hilly could pop over to get it.’ She shrugged. ‘You are helping Draco out with the club, after all, and doing his job as well as yours. And I appreciate that your help is letting Draco and Tracey enjoy their soon-to-be new baby….’ Remembering how she’d been unable to tear herself away from Polly for long when she was born, Pansy smiled fondly.
‘It does sound fun, doesn’t it?’ she giggled. ‘I love to make people talk! Even better if they’re completely off course with what they think is happening!’
‘It is,’ Pansy agreed softly. ‘It shouldn’t be so surprising to me that someone adores Polly because she is absolutely perfect, though,’ she said. And yet, it was, for some reason. ‘And he’s good with her. Really good….’
‘That’s what they tell me, but I don’t have to like it!’ she said, shaking her head. Honestly, the things Polly would put in her mouth…!
‘You mean she isn’t coming? On Valentine’s Day????’ she said in complete surprise. ‘I was just thinking I’d steal you away for a bit,’ she said. ‘Is it the fancy dress?’ she asked. ‘Because I can help with that. I bought Natalie a dress for the ball,’ she confided. ‘She’s going to be absolutely lovely and you’ll have to dance with her, by the way. Natalie…..something or other. I’m pants at names….’
