Pansy eyed the quantity of food on the tray and remarked with a smirk, ‘You may not have a choice. I think Hilly has decided you need a little looking after, and she’s smart enough to figure out a way to get it there. She’s too shy to just show up in your house, but if you get something on your doorstep, you’ll know where it came from….’
Pansy sighed. ‘I don’t think Harry and I together make enough work to keep her happy,’ she admitted. ‘She doesn’t think I eat enough, and Harry’s convinced her to let him cook his own lunch, but she’s not at all happy about it. Dirty clothes disappear before you can blink, and I’ve heard her and Wicksy arguing over who gets to wash Polly’s stuff….’ She rolled her eyes.
‘Me?’ she said, blinking in surprise. Ron Weasley was asking her to help him????
A pleased smile crossed her face. ‘Sure,’ she agreed. ‘Dancing and parties are my specialty,’ she confided with a grin, not that he probably didn’t already know that. ‘And since Draco can’t be at the ball on Valentine’s Day, you can take his place and dance with me,’ she decided. Waving a hand, she added, ‘Feel free to complain that Draco insisted you look after me.’ She giggled.
‘And I’ll make you walk around with me, and I can help you make nice with everyone. ‘ Her eyes lit up. ‘Oooooh, and maybe we can get them to spill something juicy so Draco will know he’s put his information mine in the right hands!’ she added conspiratorially. ‘Because of course I know him well enough to know that he didn’t open a club just to keep people entertained and to make money….’ She laughed.
‘Chudley?’ she exclaimed. ‘Why on earth would I want her to say that????’ She shook her head. ‘They’re not even playing right now….’ She made a sound of exasperation as she looked at her daughter. ‘She probably will say Harry’s name first. She already adores him. She got so fussy about not seeing him when we were at Antonin’s wedding, that I had to come home for a few days.’ She looked at Ron and added, ‘He lets her eat dirt….’ She shuddered. ‘But the Superhero suggested it, and his Ben is healthy….’ She still thought the wisdom of that was a little lacking in logic.
