Ron looked a little funny about sending his laundry over. He'd always done it himself all these years. Being one of so many children they had all learned at a young age to do things for themselves, so having a house elf was rather a strange concept to him. Still, the thought of having that done appealed to him, since he was going to have so little time very soon and he nodded his approval, shushing the Hermione voice in the back of his head that he was taking advantage of the poor elf. "Do I need to do anything to compensate her for it? I mean, thats a lot to take care of."
He laughed along with Pansy, surprised how at ease he was with her. He chalked it up to them making fun of other people. "We'll shock and amaze everyone I'd wager. Have them spilling to either one of us all that dirty laundry!"
Polly finally managed to grab a hold of one shoe lace and was busily chewing the end of it because Ron had stopped moving his foot at the mention of Hermione and why she wasn't going to be there. He took another drink from his hip flask before answering Pansy's shocked question. "She's been...really busy with her studies of...things," he replied vaguely. He didn't even know what she was studying these days. "We've not seen much of each other lately. With me being busy at the club getting ready to take over and her always busy at the Ministry time is something either of us can afford to waste on something like that right now." He didn't sound very convincing, or that it didn't bother him quite a bit, but he shrugged it off with a shrug and and a weak smile before pushing ahead of the matter.
"Natalie....Can't say I know who it is, but by Draco's demands I have to dancwe and schmooze with everyone there. The more money we rake in the better we look I suppose, and I'll be doing everything I can to be a charming devil."
