After some weird times lately, I decided to focus on work. You know, when I became a PI at home, I was working on finding missing people, gathering evidence against a stalker. Now? I am following people cheating on their spouses. Not what I had in mind.

	I get that. I used to help people. At least, I thought I was helping them. ~~Who knows how many of them ended up getting murdered by my parents~~ I'm sorry about your parents. That's .... 	I used to do a lot of community outreach for the church my parents run. I devoted my whole life to it but it was a joke. They were killing people. I think my parents do define me, Kate. I didn't get these abilities from a radioactive spider bite. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	I know. I just wish I had opened my eyes sooner. They can't define me because I don't understand them. Xavin tells me what I am but how do I know that applies to me in my world? It sounds like your parents are masters at manipulating, there's no way you could have known.

I think it's less about what you are, more about who you are. I don't know if you are the same as the you of my world, but ultimately it's not about your DNA. It's your heart that matters. I used to be my father's daughter too, the spoiled little rich girl who worshipped Daddy. Until I realized where all the money came from and I was determined to be better than him, trained to be a hero. You can do that too, use your abilities to help people.
