It does not concern me, what anyone thinks they are or who they believe they turn into when moon mother is full and heavy in the sky. I have a spear and many knives, and I do not mind using them if anyone turns their anger on me. There is talk of powers also, yes? I can open all of your doors if I wish it. I recommend staying away from mine.

I much prefer bluntness to false, friendly introductions. I do not want to sleep with your women, and I do not want to steal your things. Your politics and dramas, they do not concern me. If I play my music too loudly, I recommend the purchase of ear plugs.

The occult. The... supernatural. Everything that goes along with it, basically. The world of academia tends to turn its nose up at it.

[locked to 105]

I used to be a doctor. A patient I had been treating passed away and the circumstances surrounding her death were... unfavourable to my reputation.

The shaman does not control life and death. He is only a vessel for the desires of the universe around him. You are not to blame for this death.

By the occult, you mean spirits and guides and those who came before?

The hospital board thought different. They didn't agree with my... methods. Of course, they don't complain when it works in their favour.

That and many other things. I've always been rather fascinated by it, ever since I was young.

Your methods, what were they?

Fascination with these things, while normal for a shaman, are not admitted in a society where people live in fear of what they do not know or understand. Mysteries here, they are things of terror. Your search, it frightens them. They will not accept it.

Some of the more arcane methods of healing. I also had employed the use of some medicinal herbs, but. None of those were the reason behind her death. None of the tests they performed could place any blame on me, but that didn't stop the board from deciding I was at fault for not adhering to proper procedures. Not that traditional methods would have even helped her...

Which is why I try to keep my interest to those that can understand and respect it. Ridicule isn't my favourite thing in the world.

Some animals die, and there is nothing anyone can do to change that. It is hard to accept, and some parents and loved ones cannot do so. Do you think are to blame? It does not matter what was disproved, if you think it true.

Ridicule does not matter. I will show you this. It has no power if you give it none.

No, I don't think I was at fault. I... did everything that I could to help her. The only reason I did what I did is because I thought it would save her. Being wrong... It... It hit me hard.

I've just become sensitive to opinions after everything. I feel on guard with the world.

You cannot let the world put you on guard. It is a hard thing to come back from. Come, we will go to the park where the tame wolves roam, and we shall stand upon the fountain and yell to the winds.

And people shall laugh at us, and we shall not care.

I'm not frightened... I just. People will stare and...

Nevermind. Let's go. This is absolutely insane but... I'll go.
