[ Locked to 207 ]

You sure weren't kidding when you said something weird would be happening soon. I spent two hours in a mannequin sandwich, and that wasn't even the strangest part. Though from what I'm hearing, my room wasn't even that bad. I guess I should be happy I didn't have to walk a tightrope.

Anyway, I'm sorry for not stopping by the shop after the last time we forum chatted. I'll have to do that eventually. But for now, I just thought I'd drop you a line and see how you're doing. You make it through the Night of Insanity in one piece, witchy sister?

[ Locked to 401 ]

{ This is added after the conversation with Katya dwindles to a close }

You still have fingernails?

It was a joke. And a compliment

Oh! Yeah, I didn't think you were serious.

Because they'd want to know where this stuff came from and [...] I don't know if I can handle "going public." I'd either get ambushed or sent to an asylum.

Neither are a good option. I meant more in design; good ideas as a whole.

How many do know?

We'll see how it works when it's done. I'm no [...] whatever it is you call the people that make this stuff. Engineer?

Let me think.

You. Micah. Russell. Aiden. The guys that were in that "special night watch" post Micah put up a little while back. And now Sasha, Dylan, and Dracula.

Thanks.

It's not half the building! And aside from Sasha, Dylan, and Dracula, I think they're all okay.

You and Micah are too law-abiding/goody-goody to do anything with it. Nobody even talks to Aiden, so he's not going to be a problem. I don't think Russell would blab. And the people from that post, I was under the impression that they were kind of getting full disclosure on account of how big that project was.

Fine, those three are the issue. Get a holy cross and whatever is the usual for vampire fighting for him, alright?

I'll ask Aiden. He probably has enough of that stuff to stock ten churches.

I made him some crosses and stakes for the last full moon. They won't work? I know I'm Jewish, but I didn't kill Jesus.

I have to believe? Fuck, then I'm totally vampire food no matter what. That's so unfair.

Maybe I should just make like a stake-crossbow. I wonder if that would work.

Do you think it would?

Damn. I'm a half-Jewish on/off Wiccan, so I don't think believing will do me any good.

See that might be a good idea, but at the same time, I'm kind of afraid of the kind of people that would work there.

[...]

Philosophically, it would help. In the face of Dracula, however, it's kind of useless. I'd end up a blood-slut in his little pack of fangy hoes.

As if I'd let you die. You amuse me too much.

Somebody doesn't have to be a murderer to be creepy.

[...]

I might, if he tries anything. But I don't know if I could stick around after, because I bet vampires bleed like crazy.

You should be.

[...]

What the fuck?

I need to make a list to keep track of everything I have to say to that.

1) Why would you think that all women want that in the first place?
2) Saying something about "all women" is more than a little offensive, because we aren't all alike.
3) I think that I qualify as a woman, and I can say pretty confidently that I don't want to be "swept off my feet." Believe it or not, women are people just like men. Some of us want one thing, and some of us want another. Life really is like a box of chocolates, and when you crack a woman's chocolatey shell, you'll find that there are a ton of different gooey fillings inside. Yeah, some women are cotton candy and unicorn farts, but some of them are a little more practical. Some women just want to be happy. Weird, I know, but there you go.

Who the hell would tell you that all women want to be romanced like a fucking Disney princess? We can't all be Cinderella, some of us are the ugly stepsister and we're FINE that way.

But a murderer is the only one you should worry about. I think you can handle creepy.

I don't advocate murder, but in the terms of self-defense [...] it doesn't count. Not entirely.

[...]

Thank you

The answer to that question is someone has told me to do that and I believe she's mentally ill-positioned to provide advice right now. Though it all seemed insane, I decided to consult the sanest person I know. And won't laugh

And yes, she is a 'fucking Disney princess'. Beauty.

Just because I can handle creepy doesn't mean I want to. I did handle that freak that came up to me at that weird party, but I'd have been much happier if I hadn't had to.

Don't worry, I'm not going to go on a killing spree. Though I might be helping somebody with that, is that bad? He's probably forgotten all about me by now.

[...]

And that would be me? You poor man. This is only my opinion, but I think I still count as a woman, so it should be at least semi-valid. Katya doesn't need huge gestures of romantic love, not now. You guys haven't known each other that long, and it'll only put pressure on you both. Save the romance for later, and for now, just concentrate on figuring out yourselves and what you want to do with each other.

THAT FUCKING BITCH? She's the one that put up that fucking list, isn't she? Yeah, I would recommend you never listen to a word she says, because she clearly has some kind of disease that atrophies the parts of your brain responsible for being smart.

Which again, is why I asked. [...] Later? Remind me to never talk to either of you again when it comes to I'm not doing anything.

Was she? I never heard that - and I normally have reason to trust what she says. I've worked with her before. She's just in a [...] I can't say insane, can I? disturbed mood at the moment. If I didn't know better, I'd think she's living vicariously through us.

I already told you about it and you almost whined me to death.

That isn't reassuring.

[...]

Good. You're doing the right thing, honestly. All bitchy sarcasm and teasing aside, I really think that giving her space is the best thing. I wouldn't ever lead you off a cliff, Luther, don't doubt that for a second.

There was a huge post all about it, back when the building had that Anonymous thing. [...] I'm not saying you should throw her off a building or anything, but I think that her views on this whole situation are skewed by romance novels, as you suggested before. Love isn't a mystical force that God sends to us via fat babies. It's just an emotion, like all others, and it requires more than just sighing and looking pretty at each other. Fuck now I'm all pissed off.

If she's really having problems, you should get her help. Find her a therapist, get her to a support group, something. Otherwise, tell her to keep her weird theories to herself, because her advice will drive Katya away, I promise you.

[He's dug through the forums by this time]

Thank you for the reminder.

[...]

I didn't. I was merely checking my own sanity there.

I see. As she kept bringing up Austen and reading Pride and Prejudice, I believe she's addled at the moment. All things considered - she's always rambled about books. Unsurprising She calls me 'Ahab' for instance - she's just not seeing the difference between them and reality. The fables hardly help matters.

We're working on it. Right now, she needs to be able to walk out of her apartment without the vines going wild.

You're traumatizing me with this shit, so I have every right to traumatize you.

Good. It's perfectly intact, take it from me.

I had to read that one in high school. I think I just did Sparknotes the whole time, it was retarded. But anyway, yeah. We might be "fables" or whatever, but we aren't them. I'm not a psychotic bitch who's out to hurt people, really. She needs to separate reality from fiction, because they aren't the same thing at all.

Well work harder, because it's clearly not working. I'd offer my services, but frankly I don't know what I could do aside from make her some shiny things.

I am.

As mentioned, she seems to have issues with that. But if her Beast isn't in I think everyone's gone overboard at this point - there's similarities, but clearly there's major differences. Then again, Javert and I... For example, I'm not suicidal. Even if he didn't seem so the last time

I'm teaching her self-defense.

You better not be. I'd kick your ass if you ever pulled a stunt like jumping off a bridge, you know that right? And yeah, huge differences. I don't even know why I had to be the fucking Wicked Witch of the West, anyway. Maybe it was my nose. Maybe this entire thing is just coincidences all piled up one on top of the other. So. Fuck it.

Self-defense? Be careful, she might end up strangling herself somehow and need Prince Charming to rescue her. I'm sorry, sweep her off her feet.

That might be difficult if I'm dead. [...] There are similarities - you don't find yourself empathizing with her at all? Finding similar thought processes? It couldn't be random There are some coincidences.

[...]

The person who attacked her a month ago already took care of the strangling.
