I'll have to keep an eye out for them then. It's taken me some time to get used to all ...this.

Nothing really, I guess the fact that I hadn't done much socially in a long time ...or really had a solid group of friends. I'm surprised how quickly I feel close to all of you. Shared experiences count for quite a bit, I suppose.

Yes, it's a bit much to take in all at once especially if you're not used to living outside the norm. The constant changes don't help either.

Shared experiences definitely mean a lot more in this profession. They're also usually a lot more deadly.

No! God no! How do you guys even deal with the constant changes? Everything starts to make sense until it doesn't again.

...don't say things like that. I haven't had to experience that piece yet. It's more that ... i'm somehow here. Peripherally. Does that make sense?

Compartmentalization is a girl's best friend. I like how it keeps me on my toes. It's fun in a weird way.

Yes, that makes sense. You probably won't have to deal with it too much. It's mostly just the rest of us running headlong into danger will.

Must be. I'm a surgeon -- I want things to be precise, under control and most importantly, I want to know what I'm doing. I mean, I HAVE to know. It's the worst, going into those kind of situations blind. Although, I've been an ER and trauma surgeon for long enough that I can go with the flow too ...

Well. I'm the one stitching you all up again.

Those are hard to come by in my line of work. What's the saying? Every battle plan never survives first contact with the enemy or something.

We're usually pretty self sufficient when it comes to that. At least Clint and I are.

So that's not a saying I grew up hearing LOL But we have a saying like that in the medical field about those with plans never follow the plan...

True, but I'm getting better all the time. Soon, no one will have Frankenstein scars.
