So. The time stone reacted to my other self showing up. Meeting your other self inadvertently? Not merely a trope. It really is a bad idea.

Your calendars and date settings aren't wrong. It was 2019. It really is four years in the future and it really is 2023 now.

Sorry.

We most definitely live in exciting times.

The folks over there must be more than ready for a break from it all and things to settle into some kind of pattern that doesn't involve the world ending multiple times in a span of several years.

I'm not sure I have the appropriate frame of reference to fully understand that situation, but it must've been very disconcerting. That's hardly noticeable to anyone not looking. Glad you're still going to be our go to mystic with no ill effects from this event.

There's a reason why that phrase was a curse and not a blessing.

I know we don't have it easy here, but I wouldn't want to trade places with them.

It wasn't as bad as when I put my astral face into the dimension rift and my mind was scrambled for an entire weekend. I was lightly whisked, but able to get my head screwed back on the right way by the time I was in Kamar-taj. And a phone call from Tony. That's an interesting situation.

Here's hoping the effects of this are as mild as possible.

I wouldn't either.

That sounds highly unpleasant. I'm glad to hear that.

I hope so too. The last thing any of us transplants from the other universes need are having to deal with a panicked world along with the other things we face.

It was an experience that I couldn't recommend it to anyone.

Except for someone like a mass murdering dictator. Then yes, I'd recommend having their brains are scrambled into ineffectual goo for as long as possible.

On a much better note, it doesn't appear that anyone else outside of us knows about it. A lot of those dusted during the decimation event are returned here, but that hasn't happened entirely. Clint's wife and children are still missing.

Oh, that would be something if we could package that up and carry it with us on missions. That would make our lives so much easier.

Oh, Clint. He can't seem to catch a break right now. I'm worried.

You have Wanda. But only if you, and she, truly wants to be that invasive.

As for Clint, I don't know what to do for him. I was a neurosurgeon, not a psychiatrist. If he's not talking, then he might be compartmentalizing while being fixated and unable to work through the loss. That's my best guess.

I don't think any of us are trained to talk to someone going through things like this. So we're left networking. Do you happen to know anyone who might be?

I wouldn't ask that of her. That'd be a decision for her and her alone to make and not a burden anyone should be tasked with performing lightly.

Probably. I was never good with the fixing the brain stuff aside from figuring out how to make mine less scrambled.

Unfortunately, I don't. I tended to the more practical application scientists and doctors than those. Psych evals were a trial at the old SHIELD.
