Who: Ned and OPEN
What: "Studying"
When: 4pm Wednesday
Where: Lobby of Stark Towers
Rating: Low

Ned had homework, but he was kind of over school. Senioritis was growing strong in Ned and he was trying to care... but not really. He didn't have an apartment here because he still lived at home, but Ned still wanted to feel like he was part of everyone else so he came every day to study. Today the studying consisted of writing a new hacking program instead. That was still valuable learning, right? This particular program was meant to access any new car that had more computer in it than maybe it should. He was reminded of when Peter borrow Flash's car. With this new program, Peter could 'borrow' any car he needed if it came to it. Of course Ned knew that if bad guys ended up getting ahold of the program, it would suck, but he was confident in his encryption protocols.

Ned sat up a little more because he knew most of the people in Avengers tower were important. When he looked over, he recognized who it was mostly because Ned liked to keep himself informed on all the superheroes as much as possible. "My name's Ned. And you're Mr. Star-Lord, right? You helped Peter in space, right?" He heard all the stories. He basically demanded it from Peter when they returned.

"Please," he said lazily. "Mr. Star-Lord's my father."

It was a lame joke, and he immediately regretted it. Yondu wouldn't have appreciated the joke. Neither would Ego. Ugh. Now Peter made himself sad. Awful.

"Kidding. YEah, I'm Star-Lord, kid. The one and only. If it makes it easier, I'm Peter and little Pete is ... that. Pete. I told him he has to earn the 'r'. Anyways," he continued, stretching out on the chair. "Yeah. I totally saved him. Helped everyone out. I'm basically a big deal. It happens. But you're his best bud, hey? So that's something and awesome." See? Peter could compliment other people. "Ned. What do you do around here then? Did you get adopted by another super?"

Ned didn't seem to read too much or too little into Star-Lord's ego preening. Had he done it like Flash did, it'd be easier to spot, but for Ned, Star-Lord's ego was firmly where it should be - he was a super hero after all.

"What? Oh, no. I still live with my parents?" He was still a kid so that wasn't lame, right? He hoped so. He still looked somewhat bashful regardless.

"I just came to hang out and work on some stuff? I know I'll be moving in later when I'm out of school and this place is cooler to hang out in than like, my room."

Peter gave him a look before realizing what he said. "OH! I meant like ..is there a super that is bringing you into the fold, but then I guess it's Peter P who is a mini super. Glad you have parents though." And that was true. Peter knew how much it sucked being an orphan. Or an orphan with a lot of fathers apparently.

"What kinda stuff you working on?" Peter's brief Ravager style education had given him no school like information. He was pretty lame that way. Even if Ned could explain it in Peter terms, Peter still wouldn't get it. Still he knew he should ask. So he did.

Ned didn't consider Peter a mini super, but maybe Ned was a little biased. He gave a nod when Quill said he was glad he had parents. Since Peter was an orphan too, having lost his parents at a young age, Ned was always sort of sensitive to that. His mom tried to include Peter as much as possible.

"Uh -" Ned looked at him, trying to figure out if Star-Lord was going to be judgy or not. He decided that, no, he shouldn't be. "A program to help Peter, actually. Like when he's got to do superhero stuff, but doesn't have his costume on?"
