I'm still not fully convinced that I haven't succumbed to a fever if I'm being honest.

To the people who greeted me when I arrived my apologies, I genuinely thought I had been kidnapped, hence the screaming, I've calmed down now.

My name is Eloise Bridgerton, I'm from England and apparently very far from home. I've rarely been anywhere without a chaperone so this is a new experience for me.

[Filtered to Bianca DiAngelo]

Ms. DiAngelo, it appears we will be sharing the same accommodations, I'll try not to be too much of a bother.

London, though I suppose if you were a figment of my imagination you would know that already.

Ah. I grew up in Bath, lived in London for a while.

Not a figment of your imagination.

I'm starting to realise that, I'm not sure I have the mental capacity to make something like this place up.

It's a pretty strange place.

Without a - Hello, Miss Bridgerton. It's lovely to meet you. Would you feel more comfortable with a chaperone? I'm certain it can be arranged, given how they often pair up guardians.

In lieu of that, I'd happily offer a tour of the ship. I know it helped me settle in when I first got here.

Thank you for your concern, an odd notion but perhaps I don't need one? We shall see. I don't feel like I'm in danger here.

I would love a tour of the ship, it's not like any I've ever been on.

You don't unless you want one, though I entirely understand feeling strange about that. I'd never gone anywhere without being accompanied before either. In fact, I still -

Isn't it lovely? My favourite is star-gazing.

I love star gazing, I just never thought I would be so close to them. In my time vessels like this do not exist, talk of exploring the beyond would garner some severe looks.

Finding yourself in space is pretty jarring.

It's not something I ever thought possible.

It isn’t for anyone other than astronauts where I’m from. But weirdly this is my second time in space.

We have a lot of people from the UK here. I'm from Devon, myself.

Really? That's surprising. Did you too make a fool of yourself when you first arrived?

I don't believe so, but I also have a little bit of experience in unexpectedly showing up somewhere dramatically different. So that helped with some of the shock.

Could have done with it being a little less interesting, actually. But, yes, I am. I won't pretend the ship doesn't take some getting used to, but it's fairly well-appointed and the living arrangements are comfortable.

I'm certain we could find you a chaperone if you should like one. It's not quite within my sphere of influence here, but I would be happy to assist you.

You may call me Aziraphale, and I have most recently been promoted to the head of the Morale Department. In any case, please do let me know how I can best help you feel at ease here.

My family is of some prominence and we're always under the watchful eye of our peers, being out of their company is disconcerting and yet also somewhat freeing.

Aziraphale is such an unusual name. Do you have a library perhaps? I feel like I need to educate myself on this place.

It certainly can be, and you have plenty of opportunity here to learn all sorts of new things and meet plenty of wonderful people.

It may be, but it is mine regardless. We do. I would be happy to show you to it if you would like.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is, well, things I shall not say in the presence of a lady.

Returning to your request, I would be more than happy to assist you in finding the library.

In the time I come from, the most important thing is for a woman to be wed and have children. It's not something I've ever really wanted for myself, I am sure that must sound terrible.

Hello, Eloise. I’m Lydia. I’m pretty new here myself. It’s a lot to take in and get used to — something I’m still working on — but there seem to be quite a few nice people around should you need any help.
