hey guys, some AF stuff!

^this wonderful beast of a man is asking for samples of Powered people, so if you want to sign someone up to get their dna collected secretly by an AF agent, that could be cool!

I don't know if it will be used ic because gene manipulation takes a while, but i have a "one i prepared earlier" in mind for AM agents i can use at some point, which involves an AF lab featuring various attempts gone wrong at cloning/breeding which i will break out within the next month or so.

We have a wiki! There is info up here on Ad Finitum and The Templars who are a new faction.

I haven't put much info up on Earth 2 because I wasn't sure of a lot of the political details which might have changed between the worlds and whether or not I'd be seriously messing up world history.

So! Here is the deal! Those of you who have Knights/are thinking of apping Knights, what alternate world would you be interested in seeing? What monuments would you like to see made different? I was thinking like the Statue of Liberty getting hit by a meteor and having to have repairs done, or the WTC still being there/9-11 getting stopped and maybe the houses of parliament in London getting blown up on 7/7.

I figured a few countries might not exist in Earth 1/our Earth because some rebellions might not have been quashed and similar. So I guess you have free reign as far as that is concerned - since there are under ten people from the other world I figured we could be pretty democratic and free about what is or is not available so long as it doesn't contradict information already given in apps and such so uuhhh just comment here if you have ideas of what could be available!

[info] QUICK CONCEPTS

Think of these as being like concept sketches before I flesh them out:

Victory

A very small town - the bank and the block of apartments are the biggest things there. The coffee shop is bugged so Human Resources can listen in on your conversations - that's a secret. Other than that, almost everything you would find in a small town is here - laundromat, schools, bar.

You do not have to app someone in a faction or with powers; you can app anyone from around the town.

Factions

The US Government

The government is on uneasy terms with AM, and there's usually an FBI agent or two prowling around on loan or liaison.

They also are one of the governments who create powers, experimenting on criminals and soldiers who volunteer (usually out of patriotism but sometimes to get out of suicidal patrols and similar slightly cowardly reasons). They have a few CIA agents with working powers, but very few. They are interested in tracking down and finding powered dudes/dudettes.

The Network

A secretive organisation of information dealers with spies in every government. They sell information to the highest bidder. Rumours abound of children with devloping psychic powers snatched away before the AM could get to them and of Network officers running entire blackmarkets just to get a little bit of information.

Although they do occasionally work with both the government and AM, selling secrets and giving info out.

Ad Finitum

These would be the not so good guys.

And I will add more information as I plot it out.

With those tidbits in mind (even though they are very small tidbits!) I am kind of wondering what your character concepts are so far. :O

A lot of this is because we are set to see a lot of repeats and I am curious as to what the dudes I know and love will be doing in this new environment!

[info post] Ad Meliora

An operation which is a kind of open secret. Run by the UN, its headhunters recruit peoples from all nations in order to combat the growing threat of the extraordinary happenings and provide damage control. While it's not exactly secret, it's not exactly open either - the agency's location is secret and the agents are forced to sign a confidentiality agreement when they join, making sure they don't blurt out details of cases. Those who do will be kicked out and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, as well as completely blacklisted from all UN countries.

The headquarters of the agency is located in Victory, a small town of only around a thousand people in the state of Washington, a stone's throw from Mount Baker Wilderness. Here, it poses as the headquarters for a local bank, Victory & General.

In reality, once you get past the door which says "STAFF ONLY", it opens up to reveal a whole new world, a new exciting point of view. Five floors of high-tech, fully functioning office space, with enough supplies to sustain a population of one hundred for two months in the case of attack - and the ability to shut itself off completely from the outside world.

There are several roles people who are members of Ad Meliora can fulfill.

Agents )

There isn't a particular dress code, but neat is a specification for Human Resources.

Everyone who works for AM is an agent, but the actual Agents are Agents.

Everyone who works for AM is assigned an apartment by HR in an AM owned building close to the bank, mostly for the protection of numbers - some of the technicians are targets because of the knowledge they hold. With Agents there too, it's harder to snatch them.

All agents are equipped with a pager and a modified Blackberry known as a Blueberry - it can receive texts and emails anywhere, as well as play high quality video and audio files and record audio and video - all without the use of credit necessary.
