Okay so it is looking like virus + time skip is what we want to do!
1) The virus will really take hold within the next two weeks - during this time period, a previously unknown pharmaceutical company will step forward to announce it has developed a cure. Countries around the world will urge its citizens to take both the cure and the accompanying vaccine in order to stave off, well, death. The vaccine and cure? They both cure the virus, but actually suppress all powers. AF has won and with no powers to investigate, AM's budget is cut further and further with first the Agent, hospital and R&D sections being cut until finally even the laboratory staff are let go, one by one. A lot of the staff will be absorbed back into the UN, in order to study the weirdness of the past ten years from UN headquarters in New York.
2) The flu itself is a modified version of the common cold, which presents with flu-like symptoms, then leaves you coughing up blood after a week as your respiratory system begins to collapse in on itself. It is unpleasant!
3) The ooc game hiatus will begin on November 7th as the first few deaths from the cold are announced. The game will repick up on the IC date of 21st November, 2011 (and the ooc date of 21st November 2010), long after the flu has passed.
