Who: Cessily Kincaid and Logan
When: Monday, March 29, 2010 - evening [backdated]
Where: The Kincaid Residence, Portland, OR
What: Logan goes to retrieve Cessily and bring her back! (Rating: PG?)
OOC: Sorry it took me so long to get this up!
Cessily felt numb. It had been a whirlwind of events (and decisions) the last few days and it had left the sixteen year old feeling unable to quantify some very big and stressful emotions.
On one hand, the prospects of attending a school --a real school!-- for people like her was very exciting, uplifting even. Maybe it was an odd thing for a sixteen year old to want, but after having been locked away and unable to attend school for so long, the thoughts of being in that type of environment again sounded quite appealing. Then on the other, there were all the complex feelings she had towards her parents. She loved them, but she was also so very, very angry with them. How could they do this to her? They were ashamed of her, that much was obvious by the way they kept her hidden from sight at all times, giving excuse after excuse of false illnesses. But what really bothered her was the way they so glibly decided that she was going to now move all the way across the country? Didn't they care? Even now, they weren't home to see her off. Why didn't they love her unconditionally, the way she loved them?
If she couldn't quantify her feelings, she could certainly compartmentalize them and instead of letting all of these horrible thoughts plague her, she pushed them from her mind, focusing only on making sure she had packed everything that she had wanted and looking out for this... Mr. Logan, representative of the Xavier School. Checking her wristwatch, she figured he'd be arriving soon. It was evening, dark outside as per her parents request just in case this Mr. Logan character had the same "affliction" as their daughter.
Affliction! Being a mutant wasn't an illness, why couldn't her parents just see that?
Cess took in a deep breath, trying to steady herself before she lost herself in an inner diatribe. She was sitting in the living room, keeping an eye on the bay window for anyone that approached. Her bags were packed and she was ready to go.
