Something was going to happen today. He could feel it in his bones the minute he woke. As the day wore on the feeling only grew stronger and more potent until he thought to speak it aloud. However he didn't need to and with a stolen look at Loki and Stephen, he knew without asking they felt the same. Perhaps it was all the time waiting. All the walking back and forth until they knew without question they were exactly where they were intended to be. The planning and talk of how to go about things. Really the greatest obstacle was timing. Everything always came down to time.
The plan was simple. Cloaked from view and so soon as the convey came into view, he would raise his wand and begin to cast. Loki would cause a downdraft of cool air currents and freeze water droplets in the atmosphere. Admittingly biased, Theo thought that was rather spectacular. Stephen would focus his magic and cast his spell into the lightening charm. It was a feat he couldn't accomplish alone. Although a lightening storm had been done before using that charm, he was not that wizard. He was however clever at least enough to know that with the aid of others it could be done.
It was all now just a matter of when.
Standing alongside one another one the long stretch of highway, he felt the Doggo rustle past his hand seeking a smoothing. Which despite himself he gave into. It occurred to him at that moment how very lucky they had been to find their canine companion. It always knew when it was time. With a yip and bark and pouncing at the ground, that was all the signal they needed. It hadn't steered them wrong yet.
It was too dark to tell but it didn't sound like one solitary truck. Not that he was an expert. Not by a long shot. Glancing first to Loki he couldn't help but smile. It did sound like his daggers might just come into use. The full extent of which he knew they would all know in time as lightening would light up the night sky. And to Stephen then he gave a nod, the signal to go. Holding up his wand he pointed into the sky and began to cast. Bluish white light began to build and intensify and knowing this had to be done in quick succession he closed his eyes and focused. Almost shifting to dig in his heels where he stood, he braced himself for the surge of another magic user's magic to begin to funnel through his own.
