The sudden dip in temperature as he cast didn't go without notice and smiling as he narrowed his eyes he held firmly to his footing as he felt the rush and surge of Stephen's magic usher forth. He could feel the push back and his feet skidding over the pavement as the lightening charm took on greater power and pummeled upward and into the sky. Shielding his eyes from the brightness of the light, he raised his free arm and held fast. Once he heard the booming of thunder he relinquished casting and stumbled backward a few steps and peered into the night sky.
Casting his sights upward his eyes opened wide and bright and uttered only, "Oh my." He could almost see the outline of the bolts surging in the clouds and as he looked at the vehicles approaching, from behind the shielding of being cloaked. The truck closest at their distance was struck suddenly and fiercely by bolt of lightening that came hurtling down to strike it squarely. It careened off the road, rolling over and trailing a curtain of flames behind it. It was really quite impressive he thought and his attention was called away to the two remaining trucks, which too were struck. Almost a zigzagging of a bolt between them. The one on the left taking the brunt of the blow. The one to it's side slowed to a stop. Considering the lack of smoke billowing from it, as opposed to it's partner it made his choice easy. He'd have to search the one truck that was reasonably safe.
Although there were quite a few of those murder robots. Terminators of some kind climbing out of the vehicles. They really were rather resilient monstrosities, he thought. Turning to Loki he offered a smile.
"If you would be so kind as to slaughter the robots. I would greatly appreciate it," he said with a grin as he cast his eyes upward at the storm they had brewed was still cracking in the night sky.
He imagined he need not make a similar request of Stephen. Who was largely a battle type mage to a degree and would proceed. Himself not so much and it was understood without saying Theo was not leading the charge. Loki however, he knew couldn't wait.
