RP: Theo, Loki, Stephen
Who: Theo, Loki and Stephen
When: Dusk Jan 19th
Where: ON ROUTE to a mission.
What: Travelling, talking. Etc.
The sky was growing dark and that meant two things. One that they had to find somewhere soon to spend the night. Second, of the likely roads they had travelled down this one they were on now was at least promising. They had been heading this way long enough to know or he assumed so, that it was still serviceable. Everything else so far was terribly disappointing to say the least. Still promising was good enough and he slowly stopped his trek and took off his backpack to crouch down on his haunches. Reaching inside the front pocket he pulled out a small piece of meat and reaching back fed it to their newly acquired company.
Theo supposed they looked like the oddest group of ragtag post apocalyptic wanderers around. A God, Sorcerer, Wizard and injured Coyote. All alone and against all odds. It was whimsical and amusing and he couldn't help but smile. He could honestly say he had never been partial to animals but they had come upon it in a state of no return and Stephen was a Doctor. He insisted and Theo had to admit it was fairly useful. Alert to noises they couldn't hear, familiar with the surroundings and the wildlife. Turned out that he was particularly good at finding snakes. To his benefit and his credit.
"Seems to me, fellows. That we are on the right track. Wouldn't you say?" Theo said as he rose to his feet and turned to look first at Loki and then to Stephen. "Not that I have a bloody clue, not being from anywhere around here. Remotely or at all."
Leaving the camp had been an easy choice and one he made that he was certain had been the right one. Getting out though would have been far more difficult had Loki not been with him. In fact he had thought first he would convince him to change his mind. That however did not come to pass. As luck would have it, Loki's being able to look like a terminator really did come in handy. It was easy to just direct himself and Stephen in the work yard to a task out of sight. That wasn't really a hard thing to pull together. Once together they teleported out. Stephen apparently knew of a blind spot just outside that his team had found and utilized to get inside. Teleporting there and then elsewhere was easy and nobody was none the wiser. Which was fine because the time to argue and debate had long since expired.
This was here and now. Having made his choice he was going to live by it. Even if it was hard, even if it was difficult and he wasn't going to whine about it. At least now they had a purpose besides the one they had taken on. Which had been finding a way to track the bus. That would be fairly handy if this being able to return became more of a necessity than personal choice. But the Bus was there and then it was gone. Still they had managed enough with magical detection to have a sense of where it could be found. If not exactly where. That was a start and where they had been heading when they had received the message from the Conductor.
So now off they went like a merry band of misfits on a mission or quest.
"Don't suppose you've given any thought to how we go about this, do you?"
