Re: A Sorcerer, A Coyote, and A Cloak Go For A Walk
The Cloak of Levitation floated near its sorcerer, edges rippling in contentment. The past few days had been trying for Stephen, it knew. It had been so hard for the Cloak not to try and help when his hands had shook and stiffened up, but it knew it had to act like a simple piece of fabric while in the camp. But out here? There were no other humans around. The Cloak was free to protect and assist Stephen as it wished.
Suddenly, it stopped and hovered. There were very interesting plants out here, and it had just spotted ones with strange spikes all over it. What was that? It floated over to investigate, reaching out to touch it with the corner of its hem. Quickly, it withdrew its corner, which was now covered in those spikes. The Cloak didn't feel pain - it was fabric, after all - but having strange things stuck in said fabric was very annoying. It shook to try and shake them off, but the spines stayed where they were. It shook again, but they still stayed.
It floated quickly back to Stephen and held up its corner in front of him. If the Cloak couldn't get them out itself, Stephen could.
