[PRIVATE GROUP FILTER: JAMES, REMUS, HARRY, SABRINA, DR. STRANGE, THEODORE, LOKI, GINNY, ABIGAIL]

Right, so that Roman bloke has clearly lost his nut and is going to try and murder one or more of the following people:
    • 1. Santa Clause
    • 2. Mrs Clause
    • 3. The Conductor

In my not-so-humble opinion, the Conductor — wherever they may be — can handle themselves. If Roman thinks he can find Santa, I say we wind him up and watch him go, and then grab him before he can.

We need someone on Mrs Clause. Ideas?

I'd also that Elves & Reindeer are at risk of being eaten by this bloke, so that needs taking care of as well. James, wards?

Nott - Don't know about elemental origin storms, but it is worth asking the Elves if they know where Jack Frost lives, as that is plainly a guy to rule out.

Who else have we hear talked about that we need ruling out? Let's bring the bastards in.

You're all on this filter because I know you personally to be useful people with a vested interest in the well-being of innocent people and/or not going against the explicit wishes of the Conductor/bus. If you can vouch for anyone else that fits that, feel free to add them in, but if they end up screwing this shit up in literally any way, I will be holding it against you personally.

Abigail - seems like you've not got powers but you're added on here because you're a charming girl and I want you to keep abreast of what's going on so you don't get hurt. I also don't want to do you the disservice of assuming you don't have hidden depths that may come in handy here.

I now yield the floor to my godson, Harry, who I assume is by far the most qualified person to take charge of this bullshit. If Harry doesn't want to trouble himself with it for whatever reason, it's up for grabs.

[PRIVATE FILTER: JAMES]
I swear I have to do fucking everything around here. As if we don't have more pressing concerns without this bullshit.

    How're you holding up?

EDITED TO ADD IN SOME TIME AFTER THIS: In case you were wondering, I'm still as useless as Snape's prick when it comes to making well-reasoned decisions.

[PRIVATE FILTER: MARAUDERS]
What do we know about Upirs? Moral implications of how we should deal with him when he may or may not be in control of himself? Any other thoughts we want to share betwit us that we don't want up there?

If it was just he wanted blood I'd say we'd take turns offering some up, but him having his heart set on murdering some poor bastard does muddy the waters.

Moony, I know you're mates with Malfoy now and I can just about respect that, but if you add him to the above filter I will not be held responsible for my actions. Any other ideas you've got, I bow to your superior understanding of being cursed.

[PRIVATE FILTER: HARRY]
I would say sorry for landing you in it, but if you're anything like either of your parents you'll need to be doing something right now to take your mind off not being at home.

Anyway, I'm not any good at this being in charge bullshit, and this kind of mess seems right up the alley of what I am sure is the best damn Head Auror the Ministry has ever seen.

EDITED TO ADD IN SOME TIME AFTER this: As I said, I'm shit at this taking charge stuff.

Yes. For Draco's pet vulture.

Fair enough. Should keep it going for a while.

Experimental magic, maybe. Or possibly one of the other bus folk eats carrion.

Vulture is surprisingly mundane, though preferable to the alternatives in this case.

She is a remarkably intelligent and morbid bird. Draco named her very well I think. Reminds me quite a bit like your cousin, his aunt. Quite the personality.

Fucking hell, you've met Bellatrix? [...] Please tell me that Bellatrix isn't still alive and kicking where you're from. I don't even care if you have to lie when you say 'no', as long as you can sell it well.

Considering my father is part of the same 'club', is it that surprising? That being said most in Hogwarts at that time can say the same. We were occupied for a time.

Oh she is very dead. Molly Weasley killed her.

Not surprising, still worthy of exclamation. [...] I've heard a little of this. Not particularly sure if I want to know more at this current time. More focused on the events that connect to Halloween 1981, as you'd imagine.

Excellent. She'd hate that. Only way it could've been better was if it was a muggle-born who did it. [...] Who did my dear cousin kill, that she drove Molly to murder?

That's true. She did have her own unique brand of zealously homicidal devotion. That's fine. I don't particularly care for a stroll down memory lane. Yes, I assumed as much.

How much do you know about the second war? A lot? A little? A bit?

At the time I believe it was more about who she was about to kill. You should ask your godson about this. I imagine he'd have more details.

That she did. I likely won't be particularly irritated if you tell me fuck off if I ask about something you'd rather not talk about, by the by.

Not much. Haven't really seen the point, or particularly trusted the sources available until recently. No offence intended to yourself, some definitely intended to my erstwhile small cousin.

Should, won't. Indulging my curiosity about my mad family isn't exactly something I want to put on the kid.

[...] Narcissa's boy told me that Andromeda and Ted's daughter is dead by his time. Do you know if that's true?

Duly noted. I am just not a person who cares much for looking back. I like to be always moving forward.

Ah. That I can understand. I would be reticent to hear of my own future, and unlikely to trust just any source. Non taken.

Is he a kid though? How old is he?

Yes. That is true.

I'm the same, myself. Usually. Obviously given the situation we're in right now, what's your past is my future. What's your theory, by the by? Multiverse or one unbroken timeline? Given the scope of the universe, I'm favouring the first.

He's my godson, he's always going to be a kid to me.

[...] Cheers, for confirming that for me.

That is a complicated question with no quick and easy answer. I have heard many theories. Some involving organizations that uphold the integrity of the timeline and dispatch irregularities. I have heard some speak of the bus like it is an entity of it's own, raveling through the fabric of space and time. All ideas I have heard have merit. I see the bus more so as an acting agent of time itself, seeking to safe guard the keystone moments between worlds. To keep time in tact. I suppose everyone seeks the answers they want with the basis of the knowledge they have.

I suppose that makes sense.

I'm sorry. I am dreadful at softening blows.

Astutely put. Your own idea is similar to an idea I had considered, though from a subtly different angle that changes it quite thoroughly. Though I wonder if it's safeguarding moments or if it's seeking to change them. What would've happened this past Christmas, if we hadn't been sent here to save it? Or have we always been here to save it?

Your mate dropped the news to me as casually as if he was informing me what House she'd got Sorted into, so you've handled it with a damn sight more grace than he has.

[...] I was meant to be one of Nymph's godfathers. Our Uncle Alphard was meant to be her other one. But we couldn't risk it, not with how mad the rest of our family was. I got to see her, later, after I got myself disowned. So not how I wanted to find out.

Those are the yet to be answered questions upon which my hypothesis rests. That is to say there is no clear cut answer, but I believe it to be true. If not in it's entirety at least in part.

I don't know about grace, but Draco is far more to the point and blunt than I am. Isn't it funny? Now that I think of it, had my father managed to produce an heir when his peers had done the same, you and I would have possibly gone to Hogwarts at the same time.

How much you actually know about what happens would ease my concerns. I am worried by how you may react to news you may not wish to hear. In war and it's battles there is more bad news than good, as it were.

I wouldn't have minded that. Were you always hoping for Slytherin? Until I met James, I was gunning for Ravenclaw. Couldn't abide seven fucking years around purists.

I know about Halloween 1981. I know about Azkaban. I know who my godson is raised by and that it's never me. There is nothing worse waiting for me.

Neither would I. Truthfully I just wanted to find somewhere I fit. Slytherin just happened to be it for me, although Ravenclaw was also my second choice.

Oh. Well, with that out if the way. Did you know they ran your Wanted poster in the Prophet for months? Unfortunate I know. A fact nonetheless.

Front page, I hope. At least for the first month. Chuffed to get verification that I escaped, actually. I knew I was something else, but even I thought that I'd died in there, once I heard that's what I got.

Better than I would have elsewhere.

As a matter of fact, yes. I could tell you quite a lot about your future, but I still don't feel as I should. As in me, myself and I. I shouldn't. It's not all wonderful.

Interesting. How'd you figure that? Is this, perchance, not your first time playing with alternative realities?

I feel compelled to confess that I am, in point of fact, very nearly charmed by your hesitance to reveal the full scope of the tragedy that awaits me should I return to it. Probably all the way charmed, actually, given that I'm amused rather than irritated at the implication that twelve years in Azkaban for murdering my two best mates is 'wonderful'.

I wouldn't trouble yourself too much, mate. I don't plan on it being the future of the Sirius Black you have before you.

But of course. I do that every other weekend. But really, I had the right name for the right house so people didn't bother me much. I do have a lot of ambition and cunning. I also am very fond of green and silver.

Picture it like this. I didn't invent this rainy day but I am offering you my umbrella. To be fair, the wonderful part is the escape. The reason for being there is dreadful not wonderful.

What would you like your future to be? Did you have plans before the war and had it not been for the war what work would you have pursued?

A satisfactory Hogwarts experience, then. Not a good one.

Regulus Arcturus Black. What can you tell me about what happened to him?

My godson raised by his parents, Remus back with us, Voldemort and the traitor dead, the rest of the Death Eaters in Azkaban and my dead friends justly avenged. That's what I want.

The war's been going on since I was a kid, so, no. No plans. Not that I would've bothered with them anyway: I don't make plans, I make things happen. Curse-Breaker, probably. Unspeakable has been suggested to me, but I couldn't stomach the thought of working at the Ministry.

Compared to where I came from, satisfactory is akin to heavenly.

I'm sorry. I don't have all the particulars about your brother. I do know he was drowned in a lake by inferi. Or so I've heard. He changed his mind and allegiance and died trying to do the right thing.

I don't usually make plans. But when I do it is so I can make things happen. Interesting choice. I like cursed items. As an Unspeakable, I can say that working for the Mysteries is not quite the same as working for the Ministry. The mysteries aren't as bound by legislation. Or law. They are a lot of grey areas there. I favor it.
