RP: I wanna be your Friday night sweet ride

Eliza had gone simply with some sparkle for her Friday night - the first of two for the weekend, surely - at Carnival. She had counted down the minutes until Cogg & Bell Clockmakers had closed at half six and then gone home to make dinner and get ready for the night out. She wore her bright red hair down in natural waves, and a nude lip.

When she arrived at Carnival Club at half nine, the place was still a little on the slow side, but she liked that. She liked having a better pick of the tables and to be able to get her first few drinks without waiting in the lines that would take over the multiple bars by 11. She smiled as she chose her spot and listened to the DJ ramping up the music as the crowd grew. This was her favorite way to spend a weekend night, especially knowing she had a bedside table full of hangover remedy potions waiting for her and that her cousin Etta and friend Amara would both definitely be joining her tonight.

Hunter begged to differ. He had a strong competitive drive and that tended to make him a little single-minded sometimes. By the end of the summer, there was a chance she might be thinking just opposite.

His hand rested on the small of her back, thumb stroking over the silky fabric. "But you make it look so good." Molly managed to look effortless and it was incredibly sexy.

"Want to see if we can sweet talk our way into a VIP booth?"

Molly might have blushed lightly at his compliment. It was - to her - the very best compliment one could get, especially from her significant other.

And then she laughed, "I'm pretty sure we can do that. What with you being one of the hottest and most famous Quidditch pros in the world and all," and then she had a thought, "Oh, isn't Gavin coming by tonight, too?" She was sure he had mentioned his teammate, who Molly didn't know well, but didn't dislike. "I'm sure he'd prefer the privacy," Gavin didn't seem the most... people-oriented, from her few interactions with him over the last year, anyway.

She instinctively headed in the direction of the VIP booths, and gave a smile to the bouncer there, before throwing her arms around his neck, "Gio!" She greeted the very large man. "I haven't seen you in ages, how's the little babe?" Gio's wife had given birth over last summer, she remembered, and she had seen pictures of the perfect little bundle the last time she'd seen him.

"She's good, but growing was too fast for my liking," he answered, returning her hug loosely and trying to keep his smile small, being as he was supposed to be all intimidating and such. He looked behind her to Hunter and gave him a hello and a smile as well, "You two hoping for one of these?" He really tried to hide his smile now.

Molly nodded, "I know I didn't call ahead, this was a little bit last minute. We won't be staying too late if that helps any," she gave him her usual slight pout of adorable big eyes and full lips, and he shook his head with a laugh pulling back the velvet rope for them.

"Head to the left, there's a free one, take all the time you like," he was used to Molly's antics.

"Oh! Gavin Montgomery is most likely joining us, if you don't letting him know where we are if he asks?" She knew Gio would know Gavin when he saw him, it was hard not to in the Wizarding World. The large wizard agreed and Molly led the way to their VIP booth.

"Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Gavin showed up." Hunter had told his teammates about his plans for a night out - it hadn't been a direct invitation, more an indication that he planned to be at the Carnival if anyone else felt like blowing off a bit of steam.

Hunter had a proud, slightly dopey smile as he watched Molly work her magic on the VIP bouncer. Merlin's beard, she was amazing. When she secured their table, he pulled out his phone, shooting off a brief text to the team group chat.

He took advantage of the increased privacy of the booth to kiss her. "I love when you do the big puppy dog eyes to get your way."

Molly blushed, "You're a rare man, Hunter McLaggen - and I love that you're so secure in yourself and in us that it doesn't bother you." Her voice was low and intimate, but she knew he heard her over the bouncing music. She settled in with his arm around her and people watched, looking forward to the others potentially joining but glad for the 'alone' time with him, too.

She had never expected Hunter coming into her life, all from a flirty DM on Winsta of all things, but she was so grateful every day for him, for the man he was and the ways they supported each other in all things. Nights like this - when she wasn't 'on the clock' and when they could just enjoy themselves in the moment - made her so relaxed and content and the warmth of him next to her soothed her to her bones, even with the stress of everything going on in her life right now. She was young, in love, and had the whole world at her feet - at least, that's how she felt at the moment, and it felt pretty damned amazing.
