To those who celebrate it...
Happy Thanksgiving.
I'm grateful for the fact that I somehow managed to live for another year, my son...the fact that there hasn't been any 'major' disaster.
I'd be even more grateful if I was somewhere that actually celebrated the holiday. Even the building that serves as the 'officers' club' doesn't have much in the way of Thanksgiving.
I feel even worse for those in the infirmary: bad enough to be away from your family on thanksgiving, being injured and away has to suck-not to mention the food they serve there isn't worth living for.

Don't have much time, but it's been a week and I can be certain of several things while here
That this place is like Outworld only with more sunlight and humans, and that between bombings and power outages-it does put a whole new perspective on things.
Can't give out any major details the system here's bugged but the forces we're up against...they're desperate, and those in the media that make this to be clear cut and black and white-they're wrong.
They don't celebrate Halloween here, but they do have shops selling candy and the soldiers have started buying pounds of candy and handing it out to the local kids.
The kids gets a kick out of it...the parents, not so much.
