Rent day looms fresh in the horizon, and me without my usual form of income (no comments, Dex.)

And can someone tell me what a hippie is? I suddenly appeared on a smooth street, I don't know where, and naturally, exclaimed "By the Maker!" in surprise. A man apparently heard me. He said something like "Damned hippie" and kept walking. I confess I am confused. Does this world have no knowledge of the Maker? |
