A spark of light from Hohenheim towards Dante was all it took for her to push Envy into the alchemical discharge instead. He fell awkwardly in plain view of the Sign, ending up with a mouth- and fists-full of Nexus dirt.
The portal closed quietly behind him, as he sat up and wiped the dirt off his face, then looked around, surprised and somewhat disoriented.
Ask a Question, the Sign said. He rolled his eyes, still confused.
Okay. Whatever. Couldn't be worse.
"Ask a Question? Why not? Okay, what the hell?" Actually, that was three, but he didn't care. |

There's currently stuffed animals scattered across the Nexus. They look innocent enough, but this being the Nexus, they cause LOLs. They turn whoever touches them into whatever the animal may be. |

Envy flops down on a convenient nexus stool under the Sign. He's wearing a black skintight jacket over his usual outfit, to take care of whatever cold homunculi feel in winter.
He stares at the passerby before asking a question.
"Have you ever had life set a problem before you that seemed too hard to solve?" |

There's an explosion as a portal opens. Wild elemental energy whips through, followed by the flying (albiet not willingly) forms of four people, three girls and a boy all about college aged, who all land in a heap not far from the sign. The portal closes behind them.
They're strange looking, dressed like normal college students, but those are some damn weird dye jobs they got. The boy, with grass green hair, is the first to wake up and lift his head, looking around. If anyone's got an eye for details, they'll notice his eyes match his hair.
"What the fuck?" is the first words out of his mouth. |

Envy walks up to the Sign, sitting on a chair underneath it. He has a lot of questions, now. Maybe this Sign thing will get him some answers.
He decides to ask one that was bothering him.
"Have you ever been afraid of somebody? What would you do to avoid seeing them again?" He doesn't mention he's afraid of meeting another Dante. He can still not really believe that all that was over. |

Envy stops underneath the Sign, holding a cup full of ice water. His face seems a little red, probably from the sun. He sips the ice water, and sits down on a Nexus Ice Block.
"So," Envy says slowly. "What do you think is the best thing about summer? I like the fact heat makes interesting mirages." |

A confused young man walks into the Nexus main area, looking slightly out of sorts. He looks around and sees the big sign, and thinks that's the last thing he wants to do- ask a question.
But it seems there isn't much choice, so he fumbles around in his brain for a minute and then smoothes back his long green hair, trying to appear poised.
"Have you ever, in your life, found yourself lower than you'd thought possible? If so, how did you survive?" |
