She knew that it was an unusual request that she had of the people here, but Mikasa wanted someone to know her story. She wanted to tell someone who she was and what she was capable of in case anything happened where she didn't have knowledge of her memories or something like this happened again. They were lucky it wasn't Eren who was here. Eren, who even at a younger age could be volatile at best. Eren was...well, he was special to her, because he'd saved her life all of those years ago, but it was moreso than that. He gave her the hope she needed, the reason to keep on living.
Even now, she reflected on Captain Levi's words. Was there ever a moment when she felt she suddenly had a purpose in life? Yes. It was that moment, when Eren had saved her, and she needed to save him, instead. Those actions had nearly cost them their lives later on when Eren's humanity was put to trial, but luckily they had Armin to speak up on their behalf. Here? Here she didn't have anyone who knew her. She had friends and roommates, yes. She had friends who knew her skill on the field, but that didn't mean that anyone knew her. She had her captain here, but how strange was it that her captain was affected by the spell, too.
It's what had started Mikasa thinking on these lines and she was grateful that someone had responded. She chose to wear the clothing she'd come here in to meet this girl who called herself Black Bat. She wore her tan half jacket with the wings of freedom emblem. She wore the red scarf that Eren gave her that fateful day, that she wore all the time. She didn't have any weapons on her or the gear strapped to her waist, either. Stepping into the library, Mikasa sat near the front of it, waiting for the girl who was willing to listen to her.
